Arrival and a playground warm-up
Your choreographer arrives at the studio or your accommodation, cranks the 90s playlist and warms the group up with moves suspiciously close to the ones you did at the school disco. Ice broken instantly.
Learn the girl-power routine
The routine is taught in short sections built around the bride's 90s favourites — girl-group formations, boy-band arm rolls and a chorus the whole room can hit together, whatever their experience.
The filmed finale
One full run-through, phones out, group pose on the last beat. The video goes straight to the group chat and, more often than you'd think, onto the screen at the wedding.
Why a 90s Hen Party?
For most brides marrying now, the 90s is the childhood soundtrack — the era of taping the chart show off the radio, learning dance routines from the telly and performing them relentlessly in the playground. A 90s hen party dance class is exactly that, upgraded: the same songs and the same silliness, but with a professional choreographer and considerably better refreshments.
Expect girl-group formations, boy-band arm rolls and at least one moment where the entire group hits a pose on the same beat and screams. The routine mixes pop, dance anthems and a cheeky line-dance breakdown, taught in short, repeatable sections — so complete beginners keep pace with the friend who never emotionally left 1997. Double denim and butterfly clips welcome.
The 90s was Britain's pop decade. Wannabe spent seven weeks at number one in 1996, girl power went global from London, and the Blur versus Oasis chart battle led the national news. If your group grew up here, this theme isn't nostalgia — it's muscle memory, and it shows the second the first chorus drops in the finale film.
You already learned these routines once, in the playground. This time there's a professional in the room.
Wannabe
The Spice Girls' debut — seven weeks at UK number one and still the fastest way to make a hen party form a girl group.
Saturday Night
Whigfield's 1994 smash came with its own step routine, and half your group can still do it without thinking.
Everybody (Backstreet's Back)
Boy-band choreography at its most dramatic — sharp arms, big formations and maximum intensity faces.
5, 6, 7, 8
Steps' debut is a ready-made line dance. Boots optional, counting out loud completely unavoidable.
No Scrubs
TLC bring the R&B attitude — slow-grooving, shoulder-led and extremely satisfying to nail as a group.
Rhythm Is a Dancer
Snap!'s eurodance anthem for the big finish — hands in the air, zero subtlety, total commitment.
90s Facts Worth Repeating
Seven weeks at number one
Wannabe topped the UK chart for seven weeks in 1996 and hit number one in 37 countries — the biggest-selling debut single by a girl group.
Nine number ones
The Spice Girls scored nine UK number one singles between 1996 and 2000 — still the most of any girl group.
The Battle of Britpop
In August 1995, Blur versus Oasis — Country House against Roll With It — was such a national event it led the News at Ten.
Whigfield made chart history
In 1994, Saturday Night made Whigfield the first act ever to enter the UK chart at number one with a debut single.
90s Questions, Answered
How much does a 90s hen party dance class cost?
One flat rate for the whole group: from £140 plus venue hire for one hour, or £165 plus venue for ninety minutes. The price is the same whether five of you come or twenty-five — no per-person pricing, no group-chat maths.
None of us have danced since the school disco. Does that matter?
Not remotely. Routines are built on the day and taught in short, repeatable sections, so complete beginners keep up with the friend who does classes every week. The point is laughing together, not nailing it.
Do you provide 90s costumes or props?
No — costumes and props aren't supplied, but groups love organising their own. Double denim, bucket hats, butterfly clips and slip dresses all turn up regularly. Comfy shoes are the only genuine requirement.
Can the class happen at our Airbnb?
Yes. The choreographer comes to your hotel, Airbnb or hired hall in any of our 67 cities, or you can book one of our partner studios. You just need enough clear floor space for the group to move.

Book the Bit She'll Remember
The prosecco gets forgotten. The afternoon twelve of you performed a 90s routine in double denim does not. Send us the city, the date and the bride's favourite tracks.
