How Your Cheerleading Party Runs

Poms Up, Warm-Up

Your choreographer starts with the motions that make cheerleading look like cheerleading — high-Vs, Ts and punches. They are simple, sharp and instantly photogenic, so the group looks like a squad within minutes.

Build the Routine and the Chant

The pom routine comes together in short sections, with jumps for the ambitious and easier options for everyone else. Then the group writes a chant around the bride's name — the louder, the better.

The Squad Finale

Full routine, full volume, filmed from the front — finishing in a low, safe formation for the group photo. No one gets thrown into the air. Everyone looks like they could have been.

Why Cheerleading Works for a Hen Party

Cheerleading hands a hen party everything it secretly wants: matching moves, a chant built around the bride's name and full permission to be extremely loud. The style runs on sharp arm lines, jumps and big grins rather than fancy footwork, which makes it ideal for mixed groups — precision is optional, enthusiasm is compulsory, and pom-poms hide a multitude of sins.

Your choreographer builds a pom routine from real cheer motions — high-Vs, punches, claps — plus simple jumps and a chant the group writes together on the day. Nothing acrobatic is required: no flips, no tumbling, no one gets thrown, and any lifts stay low, optional and safe. The finale is pure squad-goals footage, made for the group chat and quite possibly the reception.

Cheer has had a serious decade, too. Netflix's Cheer turned the sport into a global obsession in 2020, the International Olympic Committee granted cheerleading full recognition in 2021, and squads now compete at universities all over Britain. So the hen party is, technically, an Olympic-recognised training session. Feel free to use that argument on anyone who hesitates.

Matching moves, maximum volume and her name in the chant — cheerleading is the hen party theme that cheers for the bride.

The Bride Chant

A chant built around her name, written by the group on the day. Volume mandatory, blushing likely.

Pom Motions

High-Vs, Ts and punches — the sharp arm lines that make a dozen friends look like one squad.

Jumps

Toe touches for the ambitious, tuck jumps for everyone else — all optional, all funny on film.

The Pyramid Photo

A low, safe, feet-on-the-floor formation for the finale shot. Nobody gets thrown. Promise.

Cheerleading Questions, Answered

How does the flat-rate pricing work?

One fixed price for the whole squad: from £140 plus venue hire for an hour, or £165 plus venue for ninety minutes. The price is the same whether eight of you come or twenty-eight — no per-person charges, no penalty when plans change.

Can the choreographer come to us?

Yes — in every one of our 67 cities, the choreographer can come to your hotel, Airbnb or a hired hall. Cheerleading needs a bit of ceiling height for the jumps, so a hall or a large room works best; we can book a partner studio if that is simpler.

Do we need gymnastics skills? Some of us are worried about stunts.

None whatsoever. The routine is dance-and-pom based: no flips, no tumbling, and nobody is thrown or lifted overhead. Jumps are optional with easier versions offered, and any group formations stay low and safe. The energy is athletic — the requirements are not.

Are pom-poms provided?

No — like all our themes, props and costumes are not supplied, so bring your own. Pom-poms are cheap online and transform the footage, so order a set per hen in the bride's colours a week or two ahead. Matching hair ribbons: also strongly encouraged.
