Wedding Dance Lessons in Norwich
Made-to-measure first dance choreography from Norwich's professional wedding instructors — anything from an easy, assured sway to a number the whole reception talks about.
Your First Dance, Done Properly
Choreography Built to Your Song
Hand over the track and the whole routine is built around it — its tempo, the lyrics that land hardest, the beat where the guests grab their phones. A classic waltz or a surprise nobody saw coming: made once, just for the pair of you. The couples we work with marry all over, from Norwich register office to a barn deep in the Norfolk countryside.
Built for Beginners
Nearly everyone turns up without a single lesson to their name. That is precisely the point: a routine that reads beautifully from the guest tables while being stitched together from a handful of easy, repeatable moves. Already doing dance classes in Norwich? You will be miles ahead.
Lessons That Fit Around Your Week
Private lessons in a studio near the centre, dropped in around your job and the wedding admin (evenings and weekends too), or the choreographer heading out to you anywhere in Norfolk. Also lining up a hen party? One chat books the lot, with the same choreographers.

Choose Your Dance Style
The styles couples ask for most — and your choreographer will bend any one of them to fit your track and what you can comfortably manage.
Traditional Waltz
The classic never-fails choice — poised, romantic and just as at ease in a grand hotel ballroom as under a Norfolk marquee.
Modern Romantic
Loose, close movement stripped of any rigid ballroom framing — perfect if you would rather look like yourselves, just a shade smoother.
Latin Fusion
Rumba and bachata heat with a pinch of theatre laid over the top — a closeness the guests can read from the far side of the room.
Swing & Jive
Brisk, beaming and impossible not to catch — the one that drags half the guests onto the floor before the track has finished.
Dramatic Spotlight
The lifts, the drops, the staged set-pieces for couples out to earn an audible gasp — mapped out safely and drilled until they hold.
Song Transitions
Begin slow, then swerve into something unexpected — a multi-song routine with the loudest reaction of the night.
From the Dance Floor
Norwich couples on their first dances.
"We booked months and months ahead, mostly so we could not chicken out. It became our Tuesday ritual — a lesson, then practising in the living room all week. By the time we danced near the Cathedral, the nerves had gone."Married near the Cathedral
"We ran out of runway and took the two-hour intensive as a last resort. Our teacher stripped it right back to what actually mattered, and somehow it stuck — we performed it without a single wobble on the night."Last-Minute Package
"Getting seven bridesmaids in one room at one time took military planning. The choreography was the easy part — we saved it for the reception, and the bride's shriek when we started was the reaction we had been hoping for."Wedding Party Choreography

Wedding Dance FAQ
Everything couples tend to ask before booking wedding dance lessons in Norwich — nerves, timing, song choices and where it all happens.
We have two left feet — can wedding dance lessons in Norwich really help us?
Honestly, that describes most of the couples who come to us — the vast majority start with no dancing behind them. The steps are designed to look much harder than they are, then broken right down and repeated until your body just knows them. Nerves come as standard.
How far ahead should we start first dance lessons in Norwich?
Somewhere around eight to twelve weeks before the day tends to feel unhurried, with a session every week or fortnight and a bit of practice in between. Running late? The two-hour intensive has salvaged plenty of last-fortnight panics and can often go in that same week.
Can we dance to any song we like?
Whatever the track, it works. Once you send it, the choreography is grown out of its rhythm and its stand-out moments; anything overlong gets trimmed to something you can dance through. Undecided? Your choreographer will hand you a shortlist to match the mood you want.
Do you choreograph parent dances and group numbers too?
We do — the whole day's dancing, not just the couple's. Father-daughter and mother-son spots, bridal-party numbers and secret surprises come up all the time, charged at the usual per-session rate, in our studio or out at your venue.
One of us is dreading the whole thing — help?
You would not be the first — it is almost the default. Because the lessons are one-to-one, with no class and nobody watching on, the pace is set entirely by the more anxious of the two. Most people have swapped the dread for a bit of quiet swagger by lesson two.
Where do the wedding dance lessons in Norwich happen?
In a private studio close to the centre, fitted around your week with evening and weekend slots, or with your choreographer coming out to your home or venue anywhere in Norfolk. Plenty of couples add a last run-through at the wedding venue itself.
