Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.

One decision opens everything: the bride's theme. From ABBA to Wicked and 36 besides, a hen party dance class in Worcester turns her pick into a taught, filmed routine the whole group performs before the evening begins.

A working choreographer breaks every routine into pieces genuine beginners can hold — at a private studio between Foregate Street and the Cathedral, or delivered to your accommodation anywhere across Worcester and Worcestershire.

Routine by late afternoon, the first bar by early evening — the compact centre keeps studio, restaurants and riverside all within an easy walk of each other.

One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.

We watched per-head pricing ruin enough group chats and abolished it — the room is covered by one figure, and the figure has never once asked how many came.

  1. Choose your theme

38+ themes, one franchise-holder: the bride. Deadlocks resolve by blending two into one routine.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

A private studio in the walkable centre with the evening close at hand — or the choreographer travels to your hen house, hotel or holiday cottage.

  3. Learn the routine together

Everything is taught in short repeated pieces sized for people whose last dance was at somebody else's wedding — the room's least confident guest sets the pace by design.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

The final run is filmed on your own phones, and the footage enjoys a long documented afterlife — receptions, birthdays, every Christmas since.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Worcester

Every camera at a wedding points the same way during the first dance — worth being ready for. Ours are choreographed privately around your chosen song, in the studio or on the boards you'll actually dance on.

Most couples take four to six lessons over the closing months, with packages opening at £75 — and a two-hour emergency intensive standing by for the couples who blinked and found the wedding a week away.

Questions, Answered

What Worcester asks before booking — answered plainly, with the forms reaching a human inside one working day.

Where in Worcester do the classes and hen parties run?

At two partner studios — one between Foregate Street and the Cathedral, one on the Severn side of the centre — with exact addresses confirmed at booking. Hen parties and private lessons can instead bring the choreographer to your accommodation anywhere across Worcester and Worcestershire.

How does the flat-rate hen party pricing work?

The party pays once: £140 plus any venue cost buys the hour, £165 plus venue buys ninety minutes, and attendance anywhere from five to thirty leaves both untouched. One optional add-on exists in the entire catalogue — £10 for the bride's bottle of fizz.

How much are the weekly dance classes?

£8 per class, permanently — drop-in and regular pay the same across all twenty styles, with no joining fee and nothing to cancel. Changing styles between weeks is encouraged practice.

Do I need any dance experience?

None, in any corner of the operation — weekly styles all open from zero, and hen choreography is written on the assumption that several guests will announce they cannot dance. That announcement has a poor survival record.

Who teaches for Dance Centre UK in Worcester?

Dancers and choreographers who earn their living performing — stages, screens, tours — and teach in the weeks between. Anyone teaching children carries a DBS check as standard.

How far ahead should we book?

Join a weekly class whenever the mood strikes — usually the same week. Hen dates are happiest claimed two to four weeks ahead (summer Saturdays sooner), and couples get the calmest run starting lessons around the ten-week mark.

What Our Dancers Say

Reports in from the hen circuit, the weekly rooms and the far side of the aisle.

We did the ABBA theme for my sister's hen with guests from nineteen to seventy-four, and the seventy-four-year-old ran the front row by the second chorus. One flat price, one crowned bride, one video that upstages the wedding album.

Ottilie V. Maid of honour, Worcester

Contemporary was my lockdown-era promise to myself, finally kept. The class treats movement like theme and variations — you learn the phrase, then make it yours — and a year of desk-hunching has visibly unwound. That hour is sacred now.

Ernest F. Weekly student, Worcester

Our first dance turned into a céilí call halfway through — the choreographer built it so our guests were pulled up into a figure around us. Sixty people dancing within one minute of the opening bars. Nobody has stopped talking about it.

Find Us in Worcester

Studios twinned in the centre, kids' groups in halls around the district, and travelling choreographers whose patch runs from Barbourne out to the Malvern lanes — each booking confirms its own address.

Two Stations

Know your stations: Foregate Street lands you in the city centre minutes from both studios; Shrub Hill sits further east, so allow a short walk or cab from there. Check which one your train serves.

Coming Into Town

Hen groups arrive easily by rail from Birmingham, the Cotswold line and Wales — and once here, the compact centre keeps the whole day walkable between studio, restaurants and river.

Driving & Parking

Driving works well — central car parks sit close to both studios and the ring road behaves. Race days and summer Saturdays fill spaces early, so arrive with a plan on the big dates.

We Travel Too

Hen house, hotel or hired hall — choreographers cover Worcester, Barbourne, St John's, Diglis and out to Droitwich, Pershore and the Malvern side, speaker packed. County venues are quoted honestly by distance.
