Fifteen of us learned the whole 'Thriller' routine in full zombie make-up and torn wedding dresses — the bride included. The choreographer nailed every last stagger and claw, and by the end we could have haunted the place professionally.
Sasha Beale Maid of honour, WatfordDance Classes & Hen Parties in Watford
Twenty dance styles taught week in, week out, 38-plus hen party themes and first-dance choreography made for the two of you — all run by professional dancers who still gig around Hertfordshire. This is Geri Halliwell's home town, after all; Watford knows how to put on a show.
You Bring the Theme, We Bring the Moves.
Pick a theme first — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, Spice Girls, anything from the 38-plus on offer — and a hen party dance class in Watford turns it into a full routine your whole group performs before the afternoon's out.
Your choreographer breaks every move down in a private studio just off the Parade, or brings the whole session to your door anywhere from Nascot Wood to Oxhey. Whatever the head-count, one flat fee covers the lot.
Rehearse it over the afternoon, spill onto the Parade for drinks after dark, then bring it back out at the wedding months later — a Watford hen do with something to show for it.
One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.
Most hen party outfits around Watford still bill by the head, so the price swings every time someone joins or bails. We quote a single flat sum for the entire group — six of you or twenty-six, the number on the invoice doesn't move.

-
Choose your theme
Look through the 38-plus themes and pick the one that's most her. Can't choose between two? Ask, and they'll be blended into a single number.
-
Pick studio or come-to-you
A private studio steps from the Parade with the night out on the doorstep, or your choreographer travels to the house you've booked anywhere across south-west Hertfordshire.
-
Learn the routine together
Broken into small, do-able sections aimed squarely at first-timers — nothing assumed, no one judged, no one stuck watching from the wall.
-
Perform it — maybe twice
You film the final run and it lands in the group chat that night; plenty of these numbers resurface at the wedding reception.
Dance Classes in Watford
Twenty styles, £8 to drop in, taught at studios along Clarendon Road, the High Street and the town centre by pros who still perform when they aren't teaching. After-work slots fill the evenings; the children's classes stretch out to North Watford, Leavesden and Garston.
Street Dance
Breaking, popping, locking and house, handed on by dancers who perform as much as they teach — the fullest room on our timetable, kids' sessions too, all over Watford.
Salsa
Cuban timing and partner-swapping every few minutes — an easy on-ramp to the wider Hertfordshire Latin scene.
Ballet
Barre, then centre, in grown-up classes that really do begin at zero. Leave the leotard at home and don't fear the mirror.
K-Pop
Point choreography and tight formation work pulled from the MVs — the quickest-growing class we run in Watford.
Ballroom
Waltz, quickstep and foxtrot with a proper hold — come as a couple or solo, and everyone changes partners as the class goes on.
Contemporary
Release work, floor sequences and improv — set alongside tap, jazz, bollywood, flamenco, heels and everything else we run. Twenty styles in total, each one listed over on the classes page.
Wedding Dance Lessons in Watford
That first dance ends up on more phones than any other ninety seconds of the day, so it deserves better than an anxious shuffle. We choreograph a routine just for your song — understated or full theatrics — at a studio in town or wherever you're marrying.
Four to six lessons in the run-up suits most couples; when time's tight, the two-hour Last Minute crash session has rescued plenty of fortnight-to-go nerves. Prices start at £75, and song edits plus filmed rehearsals come in on the bigger packages.

Questions, Answered
The questions we field most often from Watford — where, how much, what standard and how soon to book. If yours isn't here, send it through an enquiry form and you'll hear back inside a working day.
Which parts of Watford do you cover for classes and hen parties?
Studios are dotted along Clarendon Road, the High Street and the town centre, and the kids' classes run out to North Watford, Oxhey, Leavesden and Garston. For a hen do or a one-to-one, your choreographer will come to a hotel, a rented house or your own space anywhere across south-west Hertfordshire.
So how does the one-price hen party deal actually work?
One number covers the whole party — £140 for the hour or £165 for ninety minutes, each plus the venue — and it stays put whether a dozen of you make it or two dozen. Nothing gets divided by head, and no one's charged extra when the list changes.
How much is a single weekly class?
It's £8 a class, full stop — turn up once or take a run of four weeks, across any of the twenty styles. There's no membership and no contract, so you might do street this week and ballroom the next.
Is this OK for total beginners?
Completely. Each style has a proper entry-level class, and the hen routines are pitched for groups where hardly anyone has danced in a line before. Our teachers make their living getting jittery newcomers up and moving.
Who are the people teaching for Dance Centre UK here?
Professional dancers and choreographers who fit teaching around their own bookings — people with stage, screen and touring credits passing what they know on here in Watford. Anyone on a children's class holds a current DBS check.
How early do we need to get a date in?
A weekly class you can normally join within days. For a summer Saturday hen party, aim to reserve three to five months out; first-dance couples usually kick off their lessons a couple of months before the big day.
What Our Dancers Say
Hen do crews, newlyweds and weekly regulars from across Watford and the wider county.
I started dropping into the lunchtime jazz class to break up the working day and now I genuinely resent meetings that clash with it. An hour of proper technique and you head back to your desk buzzing. Best decision I've made all year.
Ryan Duffield Weekly student, WatfordCallum secretly swapped our agreed track and led me into a routine to 'You Are the Best Thing' that I'd never rehearsed. He'd had extra lessons on the sly, steered me through every step, and I cried before the first chorus.
Nadia & Callum Frost Newlyweds, WatfordFind Us in Watford
Studios cluster around Clarendon Road and the High Street, a stroll from the Palace Theatre and the freshly reopened Watford Colosseum — a concert hall long prized for its acoustics, so performance is nothing new here. Kids' classes head out to North Watford, Oxhey and Leavesden, while choreographers cover the rest of south-west Hertfordshire. We share exact addresses when your booking's confirmed.
By Tube & Train
Watford is the last stop on the Metropolitan line, and Watford High Street and Watford Junction both sit near the centre — so most studios are minutes from a station, ideal for classes straight after work.
Arriving by Train
Groups coming from further afield step off fast trains at Watford Junction — Euston is about a quarter of an hour down the line, and the Parade a short walk from the platforms — so base yourselves at a nearby studio and the rest falls into place.
Parking & Driving
You'll find car parks at Atria Watford and across the centre — just mind the matchday crowds near Vicarage Road. Let us know you're driving and we'll suggest a class with parking to hand.
We Come to You
Staying in a hotel, a rented house or booking a hall? The choreographer travels to you throughout Watford and south-west Herts, bringing the speaker and the music.
