We booked the Irish dancing theme for my sister's hen half as a joke — she's the least coordinated of all of us. An hour later she was leading a line of fourteen down the studio, deadly serious, loving every second. Best decision of the weekend.
Niamh C. Maid of honour, BelfastDance Classes & Hen Parties in Belfast
Twenty styles of weekly classes, 38+ themed hen parties and wedding first dances — led by professional dancers who film, tour and perform across a UNESCO City of Music that built the Titanic and doubled as Westeros.
Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.
A hen party dance class in Belfast opens with a theme the bride will love — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, anything off the 38+ list — and closes with the whole group nailing a routine you picked up together in a single afternoon.
A professional choreographer walks you through every count in a private studio in the city centre, the Cathedral Quarter or out at the Titanic Quarter, or brings the whole session to your hotel or serviced flat anywhere across greater Belfast. One flat rate covers everyone.
Class in the afternoon, cocktails and trad music around Commercial Court by evening, then the routine back on the wedding floor months later — that's a Belfast hen weekend done right.
One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.
Most Belfast hen party firms still charge per head, so the total moves every time somebody drops in or out. We do it the other way — one set price for the whole group, however many of you make it out over the weekend.

Choose your theme
Scan the 38+ themes and lock in the one that screams the bride. Stuck between two favourites? Your choreographer will fold them into a single routine.
-
Pick studio or come-to-you
A private studio in the city centre or out at the Titanic Quarter, Cathedral Quarter bars just around the corner — or the choreographer comes to wherever you're based across Northern Ireland.
-
Learn the routine together
Every count taught in small, follow-along chunks made for total beginners — no pressure, no side-eye, and nobody stuck against the wall.
-
Perform it — maybe twice
We film the last run-through so it hits the group chat while you're still catching your breath, and loads of hens bring the routine back out at the wedding.
Dance Classes in Belfast
Weekly classes in twenty styles run at studios in the city centre, the Cathedral Quarter and out towards Queen's — from £8 a session, always with a working professional up front. Evening times suit an after-work arrival, and there are children's classes across Belfast too.
Street Dance
Breaking, popping, locking and house grooves taught by dancers who shoot and tour out of the city that filmed Game of Thrones — easily the busiest room on our timetable, with kids' classes on across Belfast.
Salsa
Cuban-timed footwork, a rotating circle of partners and a quick way into Belfast's Latin social scene.
Ballet
Proper barre and centre technique in beginner-friendly adult classes — turn up in leggings, and nobody minds if you never own a leotard.
K-Pop
Sharp point choreography and formations lifted straight from the comebacks — the quickest-growing class we run, and a favourite with Belfast's big student crowd.
Ballroom
Quickstep, waltz and foxtrot held in a proper frame — come as a couple or by yourself, and the room keeps swapping partners round.
Contemporary
Release work, floorwork and open improvisation — plus tap, jazz, flamenco, heels, Bollywood and more besides. Twenty styles all told, each one laid out on the classes page.
Wedding Dance Lessons in Belfast
The first dance is the reception's most-filmed ninety seconds — too important for an anxious shuffle. Your choreographer designs a private routine to fit your song, anything from quietly graceful to an all-out showstopper, at a city-centre studio or your own venue.
Four to six lessons across the run-up suits most couples, though our two-hour Last Minute intensive has pulled more than a few through with the wedding a fortnight off. Packages begin at £75, and song editing plus filmed run-throughs fold in as you climb the tiers.

Questions, Answered
What people in Belfast usually want to know before booking — where we run, what it costs, whether beginners cope and how early to plan. Anything we've not covered, the enquiry forms reach us within one working day.
Whereabouts in Belfast do the classes and hen parties take place?
You'll find the partner studios in the heart of the city centre around Donegall Square, a few doors into the Cathedral Quarter, and over at the Titanic Quarter by the waterfront — plus children's classes right across town, with the exact address confirmed at booking. Hen parties and private one-offs are different: the choreographer loads up the speaker and playlist and comes to your hotel, apartment or hired room anywhere in greater Belfast, or further out across Northern Ireland.
How does the one flat price actually work for a hen group?
One price, whole group — there's no per-person maths here. Reckon on £140 and venue for the hour, or £165 and venue for the ninety-minute version, and that number doesn't budge whether nine hens make it or twenty-six. If someone pulls out at the last minute, the rest of you never pick up the difference.
What will the weekly dance classes set me back?
Every class is a flat £8, whether you drop in for one or book a four-week block, whatever style you go for out of the twenty. There's no membership, no joining fee and no contract, so you can try street one week, salsa the next and Irish dancing the week after.
Does anyone need dancing experience to join in?
Not a scrap. Every style has a genuine beginners' tier, and the hen routines are built on the assumption that half the room hasn't danced since a school disco. Getting first-timers moving and grinning inside ten minutes is the whole job as far as our teachers are concerned.
Can you come to us out across Northern Ireland?
Yes — travelling to you is half of what we do. The choreographer heads out to a hotel, an Airbnb or a hired hall right across greater Belfast — Lisburn, Bangor, Newtownabbey, Holywood, Carrickfergus — and further afield to Antrim, Ballymena, Newtownards and Comber, speaker and playlist in the boot. Rates are exactly the same as anywhere else on the network.
How much notice do we need to give you?
A weekly class you can usually just drop into the same week you message. Hen weekends are worth pinning down early — Belfast is a busy hen-and-stag city and Cathedral Quarter Saturdays through summer and December fill up first — so plan three to five months out. Couples working on a first dance usually begin lessons in the two or three months ahead of the big day.
What Our Dancers Say
Hen parties, first dances and weekly classes right across Belfast and Northern Ireland.
I started the Thursday bachata class the month I moved to Belfast, knowing nobody. It's now the anchor of my week — good teaching, zero cliques, and the kind of room where new faces get welcomed rather than watched.
Conor D. Weekly student, BelfastOur first dance had one requirement: my grandmother had to approve. The choreographer built us something classic enough for her and easy enough for us, and the run-through in our own reception room settled every nerve we had.

On the Glider
The centre is small and flat, so every partner studio is an easy walk or one Glider hop away — evening classes are timed to catch people heading in after work.
Coming Into Town
Hen groups roll in through the brand-new Grand Central Station or nearby Lanyon Place, and fly in cheaply to Belfast City airport — pick a studio near where you land and the day sorts itself.
Easy to Drive Into
For a capital, Belfast is genuinely easy to drive into, with multi-storeys around Victoria Square and the Titanic Quarter — but the centre is so walkable that most groups leave the car and cab it home from the Cathedral Quarter.
We Travel Too
Hotel, Airbnb or a hired hall — choreographers come to you right across greater Belfast and out into Northern Ireland, speaker and playlist included.
