You Choose the Theme, We Make the Routine.

A hen party dance class in Aberdeen begins by choosing one theme — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, any of the 38+ — then builds to the whole group dancing a number they cracked together across one afternoon.

A professional choreographer breaks the steps down in a private city-centre studio, or brings the speaker to your hotel, holiday let or hired hall anywhere across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. One flat rate covers everyone, however many turn up.

Dance class first, then the bars along Belmont Street, and a reprise on the reception floor next summer — that is how Aberdeen does a hen weekend.

One Price, Whole Group. No Per-Head Maths.

Most Aberdeen hen party firms still quote a price per person, which means redoing the sums whenever a name joins or drops off. We fix one fee for the entire party up front — six of you or twenty-six, it lands on the same number.

One-hour party Warm-up, full routine, filmed finale

£140 + venue

Ninety-minute party More polish, more choruses, more laughing

£165 + venue

Bottle of bubbly Cold and waiting when you arrive

+£10

Six hens or thirty, the price holds — nobody pays a penny more as the count changes late on.

  1. Choose your theme

Scroll all 38+ themes and settle on the bride's favourite. Stuck between two? Your choreographer can blend a pair into a single routine.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

A private city-centre studio with the Union Street and Belmont Street bars a short walk away, or the choreographer travels out to whatever you have booked, right across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

  3. Learn the routine together

Every count is taught in small, looping chunks made for total beginners — so the whole room keeps pace and no one is stuck spectating.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

The closing run-through gets caught on a phone and sent round before anyone has left, and a fair few of these routines come back out on the wedding dance floor.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Aberdeen

Your first dance is the most filmed ninety seconds of the whole reception — worth more than an anxious shuffle. Our choreographers build a private routine around your song, from understated and elegant to a full showstopper, taught at a studio in the centre of town or at your venue itself.

Four to six lessons across the run-up suits most couples, but a two-hour Last Minute intensive has salvaged more than one first dance left until the final fortnight. Packages start at £75; the larger ones fold in song editing and video you can rehearse from at home.

Questions, Answered

What Aberdeeners ask before booking — venues, pricing, experience and lead times. Anything else, the enquiry forms reach us within one working day.

Where in Aberdeen do the classes and hen parties happen?

Weekly classes sit at partner studios in the centre around Union Street and Schoolhill, plus Rosemount, and the children's classes run out to Bridge of Don, Cults and Dyce. For a hen do or any private session, your choreographer will come to the flat, hotel or hall you have booked, right across the city and the shire.

Is the hen party really one price for the whole group?

Yes — you pay once for the whole group, not per person: £140 and the venue for a full hour, £165 and the venue for ninety minutes, and it reads the same whether six turn up or twenty-five. Nothing is recalculated when the guest list changes shape.

How much is a single weekly class?

Every class is £8, book it however you like — one drop-in or a set of four — and the figure is the same for all twenty styles. Nothing to join, nothing to sign, so folk often do salsa one week and tap the next.

Getting there — what about parking and buses?

There is no tram or metro in Aberdeen — the city runs on First Aberdeen buses, with Stagecoach out into the shire. Aberdeen station sits right beside Union Square for anyone arriving by rail, central parking is paid and fills up, and the park-and-ride sites at Bridge of Don and Kingswells are worth using on a busy day. Tell us where you are travelling from and we will point you at the easiest studio.

Who are the people teaching the classes?

Working dancers and choreographers from Aberdeen and the shire — people who teach around their own shows, tours and studio shoots, a fair few of them familiar from the His Majesty's Theatre, Music Hall and Beach Ballroom stages. Children's classes are always led by a DBS-checked professional.

When should we get the date locked in?

Weekly classes you can normally pick up within the same week of asking. For a hen party, pin the date down three to five months ahead if it is a busy summer Saturday — more so around a big run at His Majesty's Theatre or a home game for the Dons at Pittodrie — and couples working on a first dance tend to begin roughly two or three months out.

What Our Dancers Say

Weekly classes, hen dos and wedding floors from across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We booked the Bollywood theme for my sister's hen — a dozen of us, aunties and cousins included, in a Rosemount hall before dinner over at Marischal Square. The bride was crying with laughter by the second run and not one person sat out.

Mhairi D. Hen organiser, Aberdeen

I signed up for the adult tap class on a dark January weeknight not expecting to keep it up, and it has turned into the highlight of my week. The teacher builds a proper routine slowly enough that even I can hold it, and the walk back to the station is the warm-down.

Fraser G. Weekly student, Aberdeen

I kept putting off the father-daughter dance until my daughter booked us in behind my back. Four quiet sessions in a city-centre studio and we had a proper little routine — no dip, no drama, just the two of us actually looking like we meant it. Worth every minute.

Douglas M. Father of the bride, Aberdeen
