How Your High School Musical Party Runs

Arrive and pick your era

Your choreographer meets you at your venue or a partner studio and runs a quick, silly warm-up while the group settles on its favourite film of the trilogy. Team captain: the bride.

Learn the routine

Cafeteria-to-gym choreography taught in short sections — bounces, pivots, jump-and-point moves and one big huddle. Simple enough for total beginners, punchy enough to look brilliant on camera.

The filmed finale

The full routine from the top, filmed, finishing in the classic circle-and-jump pose. Straight to the group chat, and odds-on an encore at the reception.

Why High School Musical for a Hen Party?

If the bride was at school in the mid-2000s, this theme needs no selling. High School Musical is pure millennial nostalgia — the sleepover film, the first soundtrack everyone owned — and its dance numbers were designed to be copied in bedrooms and school halls. Recreating them with your best friends, decades on, is the whole point.

The routines are ensemble numbers by design — whole-cafeteria, whole-gym choreography with simple, punchy moves that read brilliantly on camera. Your choreographer picks the era with you: the basketball bounce of Get'cha Head in the Game, the summer strut of What Time Is It, or the arms-around-everyone finale of We're All in This Together.

The UK caught the fever as hard as anywhere. The 2006 premiere broke Disney Channel viewing records, the soundtrack outsold everything else in America that year, and British playgrounds ran on the dance moves for the rest of the decade. The generation who learned them off the telly is now the generation booking hen parties.

The moves you copied off the telly at eleven, finally done properly.

We're All in This Together

The finale everyone already half-knows — the natural closing number and the group-photo pose.

Breaking Free

The duet. A slower featured section for the bride and whoever earns the Troy role.

Get'cha Head in the Game

Bounce, pivot, dribble — the gym number that turns terrible basketball into great choreography.

Bop to the Top

Sharpay-level sass in a salsa-flavoured package. Made for the group's biggest show-off.

Stick to the Status Quo

The cafeteria number — big group formations where every hen gets a moment to break the rules.

What Time Is It

Summer-holiday energy from the sequel — the highest-energy option on the list.

Wildcat Facts Worth Repeating

A Disney Channel record-breaker

The 2006 premiere drew 7.7 million viewers — a record for the channel at the time.

2006's best-selling album

The soundtrack was the best-selling album of 2006 in the United States — the first TV soundtrack at number one since Miami Vice.

The sequel made cable history

High School Musical 2's premiere pulled 17.2 million viewers, the highest-rated basic-cable telecast ever at the time.

The trilogy hit cinemas

High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008) was the only instalment released in cinemas — and it opened at number one.

High School Musical Questions, Answered

How much does a High School Musical hen party class cost?

One flat rate for the whole squad: from £140 plus venue for a one-hour class, or £165 plus venue for ninety minutes. Whether six of you turn up or twenty-six, the price stays put.

Can the class come to our hen house?

Yes — in all 67 cities we cover, the choreographer travels to your hotel, Airbnb or hired hall. Prefer a proper studio? We can arrange a partner space instead. A living room and a speaker genuinely works.

What if some of us have two left feet?

Perfect casting — so did half the East High basketball team. The routine is taught in short, repeatable sections designed for complete beginners, and the wobbliest dancers usually produce the best footage.

Do you provide Wildcats costumes?

No — props and costumes aren't supplied, so bring your own. Red and white sports kit, basketball jerseys and a blonde wig for whoever draws Sharpay cover it. Cheap, easy and very photogenic.
