Fourteen of us took on the Spice Girls theme in a studio just off St Mary Street, then spilled straight out into town. The choreographer had us in stitches and the final video is still pinned at the top of the group chat.
Rhian W. Maid of honour, CardiffDance Classes & Hen Parties in Cardiff
Twenty styles of weekly classes, 38+ themed hen parties and wedding first dances — taught by the working dancers who film, tour and perform in Wales's capital, the city where Doctor Who is made.
Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.
A hen party dance class in Cardiff begins with a theme — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, whatever the bride loves, picked from 38+ — and finishes with your whole group performing a routine you learned together across a single afternoon.
A professional choreographer breaks every step down in a private studio in the city centre or Cardiff Bay, or brings the whole session to your hotel or serviced flat anywhere across Cardiff and South Wales. One flat rate covers the entire group.
A class in the afternoon, cocktails around Mill Lane and The Hayes by evening, a big night on St Mary Street, then the routine back on the wedding floor months later — that is a Cardiff hen do done properly.
One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.
Most Cardiff hen party firms still price per head, so the bill shifts every time the guest list changes. We keep it simple: one fixed price for the whole group — no matter how many of you actually make it out for the weekend.

Choose your theme
Scroll the 38+ themes and settle on the one that's unmistakably the bride. Caught between a couple? Your choreographer will happily fold them into one.
-
Pick studio or come-to-you
A private city-centre or Cardiff Bay studio with the bars a short walk away, or the choreographer comes out to wherever you're staying, right across Cardiff and South Wales.
-
Learn the routine together
The whole routine arrives in short, copy-me sections built for complete beginners — no pressure, no judgement, and nobody left holding up the wall.
-
Perform it — maybe twice
We film the final run-through and it lands in the group chat before you've found your coats, and plenty of routines get a second outing at the wedding itself.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Cardiff
Your first dance is the most filmed ninety seconds of the whole reception — it deserves more than a nervous shuffle. Our choreographers build a private routine around your song, from understated and elegant to a full showstopper, at a Cardiff studio or the venue itself.
Most couples take four to six sessions across the run-up to the day, though the two-hour Last Minute intensive has saved more than one pair with a fortnight to go. Packages start at £75, with song editing and filmed rehearsals folded in as you move up.

Questions, Answered
What Cardiff folk usually ask before booking — where we run, what it costs, whether beginners cope and how early to plan. Anything we've missed, the enquiry forms reach us within one working day.
Which parts of Cardiff do the classes and hen parties run in?
Our partner studios sit right in the city centre near Cardiff Castle and the Victorian arcades, down in Cardiff Bay by the Wales Millennium Centre, over in Cathays and Roath, and out west in Canton and Pontcanna — with children's classes running across the wider city and the exact address confirmed once you book. For a hen party or a private one-off, the choreographer brings the speaker and music to your hotel, serviced flat or hired room anywhere across Cardiff and South Wales.
How does the one-price hen party rate actually work?
One fixed fee covers everyone: £140 plus venue for a full hour, or £165 plus venue for ninety minutes, and it holds whether ten hens turn up or twenty-five. No dividing the bill by heads, and nobody costs you more by dropping out at the eleventh hour.
What do the weekly dance classes cost?
Every class is a flat £8, whether you drop in for one or book a four-week block, whichever of the twenty styles you fancy. There are no sign-up fees and no contract, so you're free to try street one week and salsa the next.
Do we need any dancing experience?
None at all — every style has a proper beginners' level, and the hen routines assume half the group hasn't danced since the last wedding disco. Getting nervous first-timers moving quickly is exactly what our teachers do week in, week out.
Who will be teaching us in Cardiff?
Professional dancers and choreographers based in and around Cardiff — the sort who spend their weeks filming for the TV productions the city is known for, touring, and performing at the Wales Millennium Centre, then teach around it. Any class with children in it is led by a fully DBS-checked professional.
How far in advance should we book?
You can usually drop into a weekly class the same week you get in touch. Hen weekends are worth locking in early — Cardiff is a busy stag-and-hen capital and summer Saturdays, especially on a Six Nations weekend, go first — so aim for three to five months ahead. First-dance couples tend to start their lessons two to three months before the wedding.
What Our Dancers Say
Hen parties, first dances and weekly classes right across Cardiff and South Wales.
Gave the after-work salsa a go on a whim down in Cardiff Bay and now I'm at the socials twice a week. Because partners keep swapping, you've danced with half of Cardiff inside a month.
Gareth L. Weekly student, CardiffFive wedding lessons out in Pontcanna turned our nervous swaying into a proper routine with a dip in it. Booking that last rehearsal on our own reception floor was the best money of the whole wedding.

Two Central Stations
Cardiff has two mainline stations a short walk apart — Cardiff Central and Queen Street — so a partner studio is never far from a platform, and evening classes are timed for after-work arrivals.
Arriving by Train
Hen groups roll into Cardiff Central from Bristol, Swansea and across South Wales, or into Queen Street off the Valley Lines — pick a studio near your platform and the day plans itself.
On a Match Day, Take the Train
The centre is small, flat and easily walked, with multi-storeys around St David's and the Bay — but on a Six Nations Saturday or a big Principality Stadium concert the streets shut to traffic, so the train is far simpler. If you do need to drive, tell us and we'll point you to venues with parking nearby.
We Come to You
Hotel, serviced flat or hired hall — choreographers come to you right across Cardiff and South Wales, from Penarth and Barry to Caerphilly, Pontypridd and Bridgend, speaker and music included.
