About This RuPaul Hen Party Dance Class in Gloucester

This is a runway class built on attitude, not on any one venue's name. Gloucester's nights out spread along Eastgate and down around the Docks and Quays — a mixed, easy-going crowd where a hen group in full sparkle fits right in — and that is the energy we bottle: struts, spins, death-drops-in-training and a whole lot of fierce.

It is drag-show swagger scaled for people who have never tried it. We coach the walk first — shoulders back, chin up, the pause at the end of the runway — then layer the drama on top. The bride headlines; everyone else works the line behind her. Confidence is the only costume that matters here, and we build that as the hour goes on.

Your instructor travels to wherever you have set up, so a cleared front room becomes a catwalk for the afternoon. Pick your base — a flat near Eastgate, a place down by the Quays, a hotel suite anywhere in the city — clear the floor, and we turn up with the speaker, the choreography and a running order mapped to your group. Sissy that walk, get it filmed, then take the night into town.

What Our Hens Say

RuPaul hen parties we have taught across Gloucester.

"Best decision of the whole weekend. Thirteen of us learning to work a runway, the bride headlining, all of us feeling fierce for once. The instructor made every single person feel like a star."

— Jodie Vowles ★★★★★

"Came to our place near Eastgate, turned the living room into a catwalk and had the shyest of us strutting like we owned it. That reveal pose at the end is now my phone wallpaper."

— Simone Ellery ★★★★★

"So welcoming and such a laugh — nobody felt daft, everyone felt fabulous. We took the sparkle straight out into town afterwards and did not stop grinning."

— Naomi Padfield ★★★★★

"Bold, inclusive and a proper confidence boost. None of us had done anything like it and we all left feeling amazing. Perfect for a Gloucester hen who wants something different."

RuPaul Hen Party FAQ

Everything you need to know about our RuPaul hen party dance class in Gloucester.

Do you need to be able to dance for this? +

No — the runway walk is one of the most learnable things we teach, and we start everyone from scratch. We nail the strut and the posing first, then add the flourishes only when the group is ready. Beginners tend to surprise themselves here.

What is the cost, and are there any catches? +

The price is set for the group, not per person — £140 buys an hour and £165 buys ninety minutes. If you would like a toast in the middle we can bring chilled bubbly at a flat £10, and that is the only extra there is. No catch on the final bill.

Is this an inclusive, welcoming class for everyone? +

Completely. It is a celebration of confidence and self-expression, and every guest is welcome exactly as they are. We keep the atmosphere warm and judgement-free from the first count — the whole point is that everyone feels good working the room.

Where does the class happen? +

At your own venue. A flat near Eastgate, a house out in Hucclecote or Quedgeley, a hotel suite, or a holiday let by the Quays all suit it well. Your instructor brings the sound and works to your floor, so a clear strip to walk down is enough. For spots further out we agree travel on booking.

What should we wear for a RuPaul session? +

Bring the drama — sequins, feathers, bold colour, whatever makes you feel fierce. Trainers or flats are best for the dancing, with the showstopper heels saved for the photos. We send a glam-and-costume ideas list once you have booked so the group can plan together.

Can we head out afterwards? +

Definitely. Many groups take an afternoon slot, learn the routine, then carry the sparkle out along Eastgate or down to the Docks for the evening. If you are parking near the Quays for a late finish, check the barrier closing time on your way in so the car is not shut in overnight.
