About This Barbie Hen Party Dance Class in Gloucester
Gloucester's pink is a dockside pink. Come down to the Quays as the sun drops and the Victorian warehouse brick, the lock gates and the water between the moorings all warm to rose and salmon — Britain's most inland port throwing off a colour no plastic box ever managed. That dusk-on-the-Docks shade is what we wrap the whole routine around.
There is a wink of film-magic in it too. A few streets north the Cathedral cloisters — the stone corridors that stood in for Hogwarts on screen — remind you this is a city well used to turning old walls into something a camera loves. Your class pulls the same trick: a cleared front room becomes a runway, and by the finish the shyest guest is landing the last pose in perfect time with everyone else.
The steps are big, bold pop — chin lifted, shoulders squared, a slow strut with the bride leading the pack. We travel to wherever you are staying, so pick a flat near Westgate, a lounge in Longlevens or a let a short walk from the outlet, and we bring the lot to you: boas, playlist, portable speaker and a running order already mapped out. Learn it, film it, then carry the pink out into the night.

What Our Hens Say
Barbie hen parties we have taught across Gloucester.
"Booked it behind the bride's back and it turned into the best hour of the weekend — sixteen of us decked out in pink, howling at ourselves trying the strut. Our instructor never once lost patience with my nan."
— Rhiannon Pethick ★★★★★"She rocked up to our let near the Quays, shifted the sofas aside, and had the whole lot of us hitting the same pose inside the hour. We have watched the video back an embarrassing number of times."
— Marnie Colwell ★★★★★"Not a dancer among the twelve of us and it made no odds — pure glitter and screaming. We wandered down to the Docks afterwards for photos, still glammed up in pink."
— Sadie Trigg ★★★★★"Cracking way to open the night. Slick, kind to the shy ones, and the bride led every big moment. Any Gloucester hen should grab it."
— Kirstie Hooper ★★★★★Barbie Hen Party FAQ
Everything you need to know about our Barbie hen party dance class in Gloucester.
Do we need a dance studio, or can you come to our place? +
We come to you. A flat near the Cross, a house out in Quedgeley or Hucclecote, a hotel function room, or a holiday let close to the Docks all work fine — your instructor packs a speaker and reads the room on arrival, so a cleared floor with space for a few steps is plenty. If you are staying out towards Churchdown or Kingsway we simply square away the travel when you book.
How much is it, and does the price climb per person? +
The fee covers the whole group rather than each head — the one-hour class is £140 and the ninety-minute version is £165. If you fancy a toast partway through we can add chilled bubbly at a flat £10, and that is the only extra we offer. Nothing else appears on the bill afterwards.
Half of us have never danced a step. Is that a problem? +
That is precisely who these classes are for. We keep the count unhurried, layer the sparkle on slowly, and by the freeze the nervous ones are usually the loudest in the room. Confident movers get space to show off; first-timers get carried along. Everyone lands on the same pose.
Can the bride be the centre of it all? +
Always. She leads the line, takes the front on the big moments, and we thread in whatever suits her — a solo strut, a raised-arm group shape, a pose the rest frame around her. Tell us her favourite Barbie track and we build the routine toward it.
What should the group wear? +
Whatever says Barbie to you — pink head to toe, sashes, a bit of sparkle. Trainers or flats beat heels for the dancing itself, and we send a short kit list once you book so nobody turns up caught out. The boas are on us.
We want to head into town afterwards. Does that fit? +
It slots in neatly. Plenty of groups take an afternoon slot, nail the routine, then wander down to the Quays or up into the Gate streets for food and drinks. If you are parking at the Quays multi-storey off St Ann Way for an evening, glance at the barrier closing times on the way in so a late finish does not strand the car.
