With 'Wicked' the talk of the town we went full theme for the hen — 'Defying Gravity' choreographed in a room a minute from George Street, then dinner in Jericho. None of us could actually belt the note, but we nailed the arms. Magic afternoon.
Rosalind T. Maid of honour, OxfordDance Classes & Hen Parties in Oxford
Twenty styles of weekly classes, 38+ themed hen parties and first-dance choreography for weddings — run by working dancers right across Oxford and Oxfordshire, from the Mini plant out at Cowley to Jericho, Headington and Summertown.
Choose the Hen Party Theme. We Choreograph the Routine.
An Oxford hen party dance class begins the moment you settle on a theme for the bride — Beyoncé one week, ABBA or Wicked the next, forty-odd to choose between — and it ends with everyone performing choreography they picked up together over a single afternoon near the dreaming spires and Cowley Road.
One professional choreographer leads the whole thing, teaching each section in a private room close to George Street or Gloucester Green — or packing up the speaker and coming to your hotel or Airbnb somewhere out in the county. The one flat fee covers however many of you turn up.
Learn the moves over the afternoon, drift along Jericho or Cowley Road for the evening, then dust the routine off at the wedding six months on — that is an Oxford hen do done properly.
A Single Fixed Price. No Per-Head Maths.
A lot of hen firms around here quote per person, so the number shifts every time someone drops out or a friend tags along. We give you one fixed total for the entire group up front — and it does not move whether six of you surface from the Airbnb or twenty-six do.

Dance Classes in Oxford
Twenty different styles run every week at £8 a class, taught by working dancers based in and around the city. Evenings are timed for anyone coming off a shift or a lecture, while the kids' sessions are spread through Jericho, Headington, Cowley and Summertown.
Street Dance
Popping, locking, breaking and house led by dancers who gig on the real circuit — comfortably our most-booked session, with children's classes running from Cowley over to Headington.
Salsa
Cuban rhythm, partners that swap all evening, and a quick way into the Latin nights happening around Oxford.
Ballet
Barre, centre and real technique in adult classes aimed squarely at outright beginners — no leotard, and no dance background assumed.
K-Pop
Point routines and the tight formations lifted straight from the K-pop videos — the class that books out quickest of the lot.
Ballroom
Waltz, foxtrot and quickstep held in a proper frame — come as a couple or on your own; everyone changes partners as the class goes on.
Contemporary
Release-based movement, floorwork and improvisation, plus tap, jazz, heels, bollywood, flamenco and the rest — all twenty are set out in full on the classes page.
Wedding Dance Lessons in Oxford
The first dance is the ninety seconds everyone films and nobody forgets — too important to spend swaying on the spot. We choreograph something personal around your chosen track, whether you want quietly elegant or an outright showstopper, rehearsed at an Oxford studio or out at your Oxfordshire venue.
A run of four to six lessons suits most couples, but our condensed Last-Minute session — two hours in one sitting — has rescued more than one pair with barely a fortnight to go. Prices start from £75, with song edits and filmed run-throughs added as you move up the packages.

Questions, Answered
The questions Oxford brides, grooms and hen organisers put to us most — where, how much, how experienced, how far ahead. Anything not covered here reaches us through the enquiry forms within a working day.
Which parts of Oxford do the classes and hen sessions run in?
We use private studios in the centre of Oxford, a short step from George Street and Gloucester Green, and run the children's classes out in Jericho, Cowley, Headington and Summertown. For a hen party or any private booking, your choreographer will instead come to your hotel, Airbnb or hall anywhere in Oxfordshire.
How exactly does the flat hen-party rate work?
It is one charge for the whole party: £140 plus the room for sixty minutes, or £165 plus the room for ninety, and that holds whether eight hens arrive or twenty-eight. Nobody counts heads, and nothing changes on the bill when the numbers move.
What does a weekly class actually cost?
Every class is £8, whether you drop in once or book a four-week run, and that covers all twenty styles. There is no membership and no contract, so you might do heels one week and tap the next.
Do we need to have danced before?
Not in the slightest — there is a beginner tier in every style, and the hen choreography is designed for rooms where most people insist they cannot dance. The teachers are jobbing professionals whose whole knack is getting nervous first-timers moving within minutes.
Who actually teaches your Oxford classes?
Professional dancers and choreographers who live in and around Oxford — people whose weeks are filled with performances, shoots and stage contracts, fitting teaching in between engagements. Anyone taking a children's class holds an enhanced DBS check.
How far ahead do we need to book?
For a weekly class, this week is usually fine. Hen groups chasing a summer Saturday should give three to five months, since those dates fill first, and couples working on a first dance tend to start around two or three months before the wedding.
What Our Dancers Say
Real hen groups, wedding couples and weekly regulars from around Oxford and the wider county.
I duck out of the office near Gloucester Green for the lunchtime commercial class. Forty minutes of sharp, fast choreography and I'm back at my desk buzzing. Best possible break in a working day, and I've picked up moves I never thought I'd manage.
Rory K. Weekly student, OxfordWe both genuinely have two left feet and expected disaster. What won us over was the structure — every lesson in Headington built on the last, nothing rushed. By the wedding we had a routine we could actually count through without panicking.
Cerys & Owen Newlyweds, OxfordFind Us in Oxford
Studios in the middle of Oxford, kids' classes running out through Jericho, Cowley, Headington and Summertown, and choreographers happy to drive to your venue anywhere in the county — you get the precise address once the booking is in.
By Rail
Most studios are a few minutes' walk from the centre, with Oxford station and Gloucester Green coach station both close at hand — we set the evening slots late enough for a post-work arrival.
Coming Into Town
Trains come into Oxford station and Oxford Parkway, and the coaches into Gloucester Green, so most hen groups land right in the centre — choose a studio near where you are staying and the rest falls into place.
Honestly, Don't Drive
Driving into the centre is a headache for traffic and parking alike, so the Park & Ride really is the sensible option. If you must bring a car, let us know and we will steer you toward a venue with parking on hand.
We Travel Too
A hotel suite, an Airbnb or a booked-out hall — the choreographer will travel to any of them across Oxfordshire, bringing the speaker and the playlist along.

Choose a hen theme, sign up for a weekly style, or hand us the track for your first dance — Oxfordshire's best-value dance floor is one enquiry away.
