About This Flamenco Hen Party Dance Class in Oxford
Bring the fire of southern Spain to your day with a Flamenco dance hen party Oxford — a session that has the whole group stamping, clapping and striking proud poses inside the first hour. Your choreographer teaches genuine flamenco from the floor up: driving zapateado footwork, sweeping braceo arm lines, sharp palmas hand claps and swishing skirt work, all layered into a routine the group can call its own by the final run. There is no dance background required; if you can stamp your feet and lift your chin, you are already halfway there.
The class travels to you, so no hunting for a weekly hall: your instructor sets up in a hired room off George Street, a Gloucester Green hotel suite, or a Jericho Airbnb, and comes out to Headington, Summertown, Iffley and across Oxfordshire. Each section lands in manageable chunks so the group stays together, and the intensity is built gradually until that closing performance feels genuinely powerful — the kind of thing Oxford's own arts crowd, from the Old Fire Station stage outward, would happily applaud.
A Flamenco dance hen do Oxford is a single flat figure, spelled out before you commit — £140 for a full hour, £165 for ninety minutes — for the whole group rather than a charge per head, so a couple of extra guests on the day cost nothing. A filmed run-through is part of it, a £10 group toast of bubbly is optional, and the drama carries into an evening around Jericho or Cowley Road.

What You'll Experience at Our Flamenco Dance Class
- A grounding warm-up for posture and footwork before the stamping starts

- Palmas claps and braceo arms layered on until it reads as real flamenco
- A proud, dramatic finish with the bride held at the centre
- A good deal of laughter early on, then a group that genuinely looks the part
- A last filmed run to guitar and cajón so the intensity is saved for later

What Our Hens Say
Flamenco hen parties we have taught across Oxford.
"I never imagined a room of beginners could end up looking even slightly convincing, yet we did. The stamping had us howling to begin with, then it clicked and suddenly there was real attitude in it. Easily the highlight of our weekend."
— Lucia Whitcombe ★★★★★"Our teacher brought such fire to it and never once lost her patience. She drilled the palmas claps until they genuinely rang out, and the bride spent the whole hour beaming like she owned the room."
— Bryony Feltham ★★★★★"We wanted drama instead of another dinner and got exactly that — a Jericho function room full of stamping and sharp arm lines, then out for tapas afterwards still fizzing. Dead simple to arrange."
— Esme Rowntree ★★★★★"Fifteen of us, most swearing we had no coordination, all stamping in time by the closing pose. One price for the whole group meant the maid of honour never had to chase a soul for cash."
— Georgina Aldington ★★★★★Flamenco Hen Party FAQ
Everything you need to know about our Flamenco hen party dance class in Oxford.
Do we need flamenco experience? +
Not a scrap. If you can stamp and hold your head high you have the foundations already. Your choreographer teaches the footwork, claps and arm lines from zero and sets the tempo by the least confident hen, so the whole group arrives at the same proud finish together.
Where in Oxford does it take place? +
At a venue you choose. We bring the session to a hired room near George Street or Gloucester Green, a central hotel suite, or a Jericho or Cowley Road Airbnb, and we travel out to Headington, Summertown, Botley and across Oxfordshire. The teacher and speaker come to you — there is no fixed studio to reach.
How does the pricing work? +
It is one flat figure for the whole party — £140 for an hour, £165 for ninety minutes — covering the choreographer, the routine, the music and a filmed run. The total is not per head, so extra hens on the day change nothing. A £10 group round of bubbly is the only optional add-on.
What should we wear for flamenco? +
Something that lets you stamp and turn — leggings or a skirt with a bit of swish both work, and we can bring practice skirts to add drama. Shoes with a small solid heel help the footwork sound right, though flats are absolutely fine. Steer clear of anything that restricts the knees.
Is the footwork hard on a mixed-age group? +
It is gentler than it looks. The stamping is rhythmic rather than athletic, there is no jumping and no partner work, so it suits every age and level. We often teach parties running from teenage bridesmaids to grandmothers, and the palmas claps pull the whole room together fast.
Can you come to venues outside central Oxford? +
Yes. Abingdon, Witney, Bicester and Kidlington are separate towns rather than parts of Oxford, but the instructor still travels to them and throughout Oxfordshire. Send the postcode and we confirm the travel band with your quote — the flat class price itself does not move.
