About This Burlesque Hen Party Dance Class in Lancaster

Burlesque with us is all attitude and no exposure - a slinky, tongue-in-cheek routine your hens can throw themselves into whether they are the shyest in the group or the first on any dance floor. A specialist choreographer builds the shimmy, the fan-flourish and the over-the-shoulder look step by step, until a nervous room turns into one that struts.

There is no fabricated troupe and no fake nightclub here - just an hour that lands wherever your Lancaster weekend sits, from a hotel suite near the Castle quarter to an Airbnb out towards Hala. We bring the fans, the music and the mood; you bring the group and a bit of floor space. What starts as giggling behind hands ends as a genuine tease.

It sets up a Lancaster evening beautifully. Plenty of groups take the class in the late afternoon, then carry the swagger straight out to a cocktail bar off Market Square or a table on Church Street. The routine is theirs to keep - filmed on a phone at the end - and the confidence tends to hang around a lot longer than the feathers.

What's Included in Your Burlesque Hen Party

  • A full burlesque routine - fan flicks, shoulder rolls, a sultry chair section and one showstopper reveal (of a glove, we promise)
  • A specialist burlesque choreographer who teaches the style properly, tease and timing included
  • 60 or 90 minutes paced so the least confident hen finds her strut early
  • Feather fans and props to share, carried in and set up for you
  • The bride given the centre spot and the biggest reveal of the routine
  • A warm-up that loosens shoulders and hips before the slow stuff starts
  • A phone-filmed run-through so the whole sultry number leaves with the group
  • Timing arranged around your Lancaster cocktails, dinner or city-centre plans
  • Optional chilled fizz at a flat 10 pounds a head to toast the last pose

What You'll Experience at Our Burlesque Dance Class

  • The nervous laughter in the first five minutes melting into actual swagger by the halfway mark
  • Learning that a slow, knowing look sells a move harder than any fast footwork
  • Feather fans opening and snapping shut in unison for the first clean time
  • The bride's solo moment, cheered on by every hen in the room
  • Quiet amazement as the shyest guest turns out to be the biggest tease of the lot
  • A final pose held long enough for every camera to catch it

Perfect For Your Lancaster Hen Do

  • Brides who want cheeky and classy rather than crude
  • Groups where a few hens need coaxing and leave strutting
  • Hens after a confidence boost dressed up as a dance class
  • A Lancaster night that flows from the class into cocktails off Market Square
  • Mixed-ability groups who want everyone included, nobody exposed
  • Any bride who fancies feeling like the headline act for an hour

Burlesque Hen Party FAQ

Everything you need to know about our Burlesque hen party dance class in Lancaster.

Do we have to take anything off? +

Never. Our burlesque is all suggestion and swagger - the cheekiest reveal is a glove or a feather boa. It stays playful and classy from start to finish, and no hen is ever asked to do a thing she is not comfortable with.

Where in Lancaster does the class happen? +

At your own base. We bring the fans, the music and the routine to hotel suites, function rooms and Airbnbs across Lancaster and the Lune Valley - the Castle quarter, Church Street, Bowerham or wherever your group is staying. We just need a private room with a bit of floor.

What does it cost? +

A flat 140 pounds for an hour or 165 pounds for ninety minutes, however many hens come along. No per-person charge for the class. Fizz to toast the finish is an optional flat 10 pounds a head.

Some of us are really shy - is that a problem? +

It is exactly who burlesque is for. The choreographer builds confidence gradually, and by the halfway point the shyest hen is usually the one throwing the biggest looks. Everyone moves at their own pace and nobody is put on the spot.

Can we do it before we go out in Lancaster? +

That is the popular way to run it. Take the class late afternoon, then carry the swagger straight into a cocktail bar off Market Square or a table on Church Street. We time it around your evening plans.

What should we wear? +

Something you can move in with a bit of glamour - a fitted top, leggings or shorts, and heels only if you want them for the photos. Feather boas and a few props come with us, so you just need to feel the part.
