About This Spice Girls Hen Party Dance Class in Swansea

Nothing bonds a hen group like a shared nineties chorus, and Swansea does togetherness better than most. This is a city built on call-and-response — the 'Jacks' nickname carried down from the old jack-tar seamen of the docks, the Penclawdd cockle-pickers working the Loughor sands as a crew. We pour that everyone-in spirit into a Spice Girls dance hen party Swansea friends will still be singing about, five of you throwing shapes and the rest belting the words.

The routine is joyful, cheesy and instantly recognisable — the platform-boot stomps, the finger-point on 'stop right now', the peace-sign spin, a full-on 'zig-a-zig-ah'. We teach it in slow, forgiving layers so nobody feels lost, then wind the tempo up until the whole room is a wall of girl power. A Spice Girls dance hen do Swansea guarantees more laughing than dancing, which is exactly the point.

We bring it all to you — the speaker, the playlist, the choreography — to a Mumbles rental, an Uplands house, an SA1 flat or a Gower barn. You can each pick a Spice to be, get the video for the wedding speeches, then head out along the Marina or into Wind Street still humming the chorus.

What Our Hens Say

Spice Girls hen parties we have taught across Swansea.

"We were all Spice mad growing up so this was the dream. Picked our characters, learned the moves and screamed the words. Our teacher kept it daft and easy. Best hen activity in Swansea, hands down."

— Ffion Prydderch ★★★★★
SG

"Came out to our house near Killay and had sixteen of us zig-a-zig-ah-ing in no time. My auntie who never dances was front and centre. The video is comedy gold for the wedding."

— Mari Bufton ★★★★★

"So cheesy and so good. Nobody in our lot can dance and it did not matter at all. We did the class then went down to the Marina for photos before hitting Wind Street."

— Sioned Havard ★★★★★

"Pure nostalgia and non-stop laughing. Really well run, brilliant with the shy ones and the bride loved her middle spot. Would recommend to any Swansea hen group."

— Angharad Ace ★★★★★

Spice Girls Hen Party FAQ

Everything you need to know about our Spice Girls hen party dance class in Swansea.

Where in Swansea does the Spice Girls class take place? +

At whatever venue suits you. Most hens use their own base — a Mumbles seafront rental, an Uplands house, an SA1 apartment or a Gower farmhouse. We are mobile and bring the speaker and floor plan, so you just need a room big enough to throw some shapes in. For Gower and Mumbles stays we confirm travel and timing at booking.

What is the cost and are there extras? +

It is £140 for an hour or £165 for ninety minutes, charged for the whole group rather than per head. The choreographer, the tailored medley, the music and the filmed run-through are all included. The only optional extras are a £10 bubbly toast for the room and venue hire, which only applies if you would like us to book a space rather than use your own accommodation.

None of us can dance — is that ok? +

More than ok. This is one of the friendliest routines we teach, built in slow, repeated stages for total beginners. The moves are big, cheesy and easy to remember, and enthusiasm counts for far more than technique. A group whose last proper dance was a wedding reception will be nailing the chorus pose within the hour.

How many hens can join in? +

From five up to thirty or more. Bigger groups make the sing-along even louder, and we adapt the formations so everyone has a spot. Just check the room fits everyone dancing with a little space around them, and we shape the choreography and the teams to match your numbers on the day.

Can we each be a different Spice? +

That is half the fun. Pick your Posh, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Sporty, dress the part with platforms and Union Jack accessories if you like, and we build little character moments in. We keep it camera-friendly so the outfits shine, and plenty of Swansea groups head out to Wind Street in costume afterwards.

How early should we book? +

Weekend dates in spring and summer are the first to go, so six to eight weeks ahead is sensible, and longer over peak wedding season. Weekday and quieter-season hens can sometimes be arranged at shorter notice. Booking early gives us the best chance of matching your ideal time around the rest of your Swansea weekend.
