Class Structure

Beginners Class — 60 Minutes

0–10 mins

Warm-Up & Point Moves

Loosening the joints, then drilling the sharp signature gestures — the point moves fans learn first — before the full routine begins.

10–25 mins

Section by Section

The chorus broken into counts and taught slowly, mirror-checked against the real thing until it lines up exactly.

25–40 mins

Formations

Where you stand and when you move — the constant reshuffling that makes a group look like one machine — walked through step by step.

40–50 mins

Sync & Sharpness

Running it together so everyone hits on the same count, tightening the angles that separate rough from idol-clean.

50–60 mins

Full Take & Cool-Down

One run at full speed, an optional film for the group chat, then a stretch to finish.

About K-Pop Classes in Leicester

K-pop is the most exacting pop choreography going — every gesture pinned to the beat and the whole group rearranging itself constantly through a song. You cannot really learn that by scrubbing a music video back and forth. Our K-pop dance classes in Leicester give you the missing part: time and structure, the genuine title-track routines from boy and girl groups, taken slowly and drilled until they match the screen.

Leicester is a proper student city — two universities and thirty-five thousand students packed into a compact centre — and that has built a lively young scene of society showcases and campus dance nights. So the room fills with people at your own level, and there is somewhere real to take a routine once it is tight.

You will dance in mirror-lined partner studios around the city centre and the student belt near London Road, confirmed when you book. The station and the buses put them within easy reach — and it is a great deal cheaper than hiring a rehearsal room by the hour yourself.

Why Choose K-Pop in Leicester?

The Real Routine

No simplified, made-for-beginners version — you learn the choreography as the group actually performs it, just slower to start with.

Formations Taught Right

Knowing where to stand and when to move is half of K-pop; we drill the group patterns, not only the arm moves.

A Student-City Scene

Society showcases and campus nights give a tight routine somewhere to go beyond the studio mirror.

Film It or Don't

Group takes for the chat are there if you want them and completely skippable if you would rather just dance.

Your K-Pop Journey

From first class to confident dancer — here is how it usually goes.

Weeks 1–4

Your First Chorus

Getting Started

One song's chorus, taught slowly, plus the point moves that go with it. By week four you can dance the hook.

What to Wear

Trainers and clothes you can move sharply in. Layers help — you will warm up faster than you expect.

Months 2–3

Whole Tracks

The Full Song

Verses, chorus and dance break stitched into a complete routine you can run from start to finish.

Counts to Instinct

The out-loud counting fades and the choreography starts to feel automatic.

Months 4–6

Tight and In Sync

Group Precision

Formations and angles sharpen so the group moves as one rather than as eight soloists.

Range

Faster comebacks and harder sections widen what you are able to pick up.

Months 6+

Showcase-Ready

Performance Level

Clean, synced, camera-steady routines you would happily put in front of an audience.

What Comes Next

A society showcase, a campus night, or a filmed cover the whole group can be proud of.

K-Pop in Leicester FAQ

Everything you need to know before your first class.

Is this the real choreography or a watered-down version? +

The real thing. We teach the genuine title-track routines as the groups perform them — just broken into counts and taken slowly at first. There is no dumbed-down beginner version; you learn what is actually on screen.

Do I need dance experience to keep up? +

No dance background needed. We build every routine section by section from a standstill, so beginners cope fine. A student city means our classes are full of first-timers learning their opening chorus from zero.

Do I have to speak Korean or know the songs? +

Not a word, and you do not need to know the song beforehand. The choreography is counts and formations, not lyrics — plenty of dancers learn a routine they had never heard until class.

Where in Leicester do the K-pop classes run? +

Mirror-lined partner studios around the city centre and the student belt near London Road, confirmed at booking. Both are easy to reach by train or bus, and far cheaper than renting a rehearsal room yourself.

Boy-group or girl-group routines — which do you teach? +

Both. We rotate between boy-group and girl-group title tracks, and you dance whichever the class is on regardless of your own gender — the choreography is the choreography.

What should I wear? +

Clothes you can move sharply in and trainers with a bit of grip. Layers are smart, because K-pop routines warm you up fast. Nothing branded or special is required.

How much is a K-pop class in Leicester? +

A drop-in session is £8, with no membership and no contract. Once a regular Leicester schedule is running, discounted blocks will be available for anyone coming every week.

Will I be filmed? +

Only if the group wants it. We often grab a take at the end for the chat, but it is entirely optional — plenty of people just come to dance and never appear on camera.

Is K-pop just for teenagers, or can any age join? +

Not just teenagers at all. Our adult classes run from seventeen upward and draw a wide mix, and younger dancers have their own age-grouped sessions. Pick your age band on the enquiry form.
