Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.

Every hen party dance class in Brighton is built on a theme the bride will love — Spice Girls, Burlesque, Dirty Dancing, anything off the 38-plus list — and by the end of the afternoon the whole group can run a routine they learned shoulder to shoulder.

A choreographer walks you through it move by move in a private room by the North Laine, or loads the speaker into the car and comes to your hotel or Airbnb anywhere across the city. Whatever the headcount, the price stays a single flat rate.

Routine in the afternoon, cocktails through the Lanes and Kemptown after dark, the same moves dragged back out at the wedding — that is how Brighton does a hen weekend.

One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.

Loads of hen firms still bill by the head, so the total lurches about every time someone pulls out or piles in. We quote one fixed figure for the group and leave it there, whatever the final numbers do.

  1. Choose your theme

Scroll the 38-plus themes and land on the one that is most the bride. Cannot split two of them? Your choreographer will happily stitch them together.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

A private room in the centre of Brighton with the night out waiting outside, or the teacher comes to wherever the group is based across the city and coast.

  3. Learn the routine together

Each move arrives in bite-sized chunks pitched at beginners — nothing assumed, no eye-rolling, and no one left standing at the back.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

You take away a filmed last run before the night begins, and a fair few of these numbers get an encore on the wedding day.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Brighton

Those first ninety seconds on the floor end up in every phone and the wedding album, so they deserve more than a shuffle. A choreographer designs a private routine around your song — understated or an outright seafront showstopper — and rehearses it at a central studio or your own venue.

Four to six sessions in the run-up suits most couples, though a two-hour crash course has pulled more than one panicking pair through the fortnight before. Packages open at £75 and gain track edits and filmed rehearsals as you step up.

Questions, Answered

The things Brighton dancers ask first — where, how much, how experienced you need to be, and how early to plan. Anything we've missed, the forms below reach us within a working day.

Whereabouts in Brighton do the classes and hen dos happen?

Weekly classes run out of partner studios in the middle of Brighton and around the North Laine, a few minutes from the station, with a handful of kids' classes further out toward Hove and Preston Park. Hen parties and private bookings flip that round — the teacher brings the whole session to your Airbnb, hotel or hired room, wherever you are along the Brighton and Hove coast.

How is a hen party priced?

You pay one price for the entire group, not a head count. An hour is £140 plus the venue and ninety minutes is £165 plus the venue, and neither figure shifts whether a dozen of you show up or twenty-odd. Want fizz waiting when you arrive? That is £10 more.

What is one weekly class?

Just £8, and it is the same £8 for all twenty styles, paid each time you turn up. Nothing to join and nothing to sign, so a week of heels followed by a week of tango comes to a grand total of sixteen pounds.

What if none of us can dance a step?

Honestly, that is where most people begin. Every style has a real first-timers' tier, and the hen routines are put together for groups where the majority have never danced. The teachers do this for a living and have nervous beginners moving inside the first few minutes.

Who actually runs the classes here?

Working south-coast dancers and choreographers — the kind of people performing at the Dome, running a North Laine studio midweek or on a seafront festival bill in summer — fitting teaching around their own gigs. Anyone taking children's classes is DBS-checked.

How far ahead should we book?

You can usually walk into a weekly class the same week you ask. Hen Saturdays across the summer fill early, Pride weekend fastest of the lot, so leave a few months; first-dance couples tend to begin two or three months before the day.

What Our Dancers Say

Hen weekends, first-dance couples and Tuesday-night regulars, from Kemptown to the Hove lawns.

My sister's hen was sixteen of us learning a Beyoncé number in a room off the North Laine, then pouring down into Kemptown for the night. The steps came in such small pieces that even the two self-declared non-dancers kept pace, and the hour just vanished.

Farrah H. Hen organiser, Brighton

Signed up for the adult beginners' street class by Preston Circus at 39, braced to embarrass myself. Now it is the highlight of my week — you get told the reason a move lands rather than just a count, and half the room is as green as I am.

Rob E. Weekly student, Hove

Five first-dance lessons turned our nervous sway into an actual routine, and a final run on the floor of our Hove seafront hotel meant nothing surprised us on the day. Best money we spent on the whole wedding.

Find Us in Brighton

Studios cluster in the town centre and the North Laine, the children's classes fan out toward Hove and the coast, and for private bookings a choreographer will carry the whole session to your door anywhere from Portslade to Rottingdean. We confirm the precise address once you are booked.

By Train

Every central studio is about ten minutes on foot from Brighton station, with Hove and Preston Park stations nearer particular venues — and evenings run late enough to suit anyone coming in along the coast or straight from work.

Coming Into Town

Groups in for a hen weekend step off the mainline or the coastway straight into Brighton station — choose a central studio and the rest of the day falls into place.

Driving & Parking

No congestion charge in Brighton, but the narrow Lanes and a big seafront event can swallow every space — a park-and-ride or a multi-storey is the safer bet. Let us know you are driving and we will steer you to a studio with parking to hand.

We Travel Too

A hotel, an Airbnb or a hall you have hired — the teacher travels out to Hove, Portslade, Shoreham, Saltdean or Rottingdean with the speaker and playlist in the boot.
