Twelve of us booked the ballroom hen — glides, spins and a proper big finish. Our choreographer was funny and endlessly patient, and by the final run-through we honestly looked like we'd rehearsed for weeks rather than an hour.
Kerry-Ann S. Ballroom hen, BlackpoolDance Classes & Hen Parties in Blackpool
Weekly classes across twenty styles, hen parties in 38+ themes and wedding first dances — in the seaside town that has hosted the world's greatest ballroom competition for more than a century, taught by working professional dancers of the Fylde coast.
Choose the Theme — We'll Choreograph It.
In Blackpool a hen party dance class begins by settling on a theme — the bride chooses from more than 38, be that Beyoncé, ABBA or Wicked — and wraps up with everybody performing something they picked up together over a single afternoon.
A professional choreographer breaks every step down in a private town-centre studio near the Winter Gardens, or travels to your hotel or apartment right across Blackpool and the Fylde coast. One flat rate covers everybody.
Routine in the afternoon, the Illuminations and a cabaret bar by night, the same moves back out at the wedding months on — that is how Blackpool does a hen weekend.
One Group Price, No Per-Person Sums.
Most hen firms along the Fylde coast still bill per head, so the total shifts every time someone pulls out or a last straggler signs up. We agree a single price for the whole group up front — no matter how many of you surface by breakfast.

Street Dance
Popping, locking, breaking and house from teachers rooted in Blackpool's own street and breaking scene — our most popular class, and kids' sessions run across the resort too.
Salsa

Ballet
Centre and barre work in adult classes that are genuinely built for beginners. No leotard needed.
K-Pop
Sharp point choreography and formations lifted straight from the videos — the quickest-growing class on the Blackpool timetable.
Ballroom
Foxtrot, waltz and quickstep with a genuine frame, in the town the Dance Festival turned into the ballroom capital — singles and couples both welcome, partners rotate.
Contemporary
Floor work, release technique and improvisation — plus tap, jazz, heels, bollywood, flamenco and everything else. That's twenty styles in total; every one is on the classes page.
Wedding Dance Lessons in Blackpool
The first dance is the reception's most filmed ninety seconds — it deserves more than an anxious shuffle. Our team choreographs a private routine around your track, from understated and simple through to a full showstopper, at town-centre studios or your own venue.
Most take somewhere between four and six sessions in the weeks before the wedding; the two-hour Last Minute session has salvaged more than one fortnight-to-go panic. Prices open at £75, and song editing plus filmed rehearsals get added as the package grows.

Questions, Answered
The things Blackpool and Fylde couples and hen groups ask most before booking — venues, prices, experience, timing. For anything not covered here, the enquiry forms land with us inside one working day.
Whereabouts in Blackpool do you run classes and hen parties?
Town-centre partner studios sit close to the Tower and the Winter Gardens, with North Shore and South Shore options too, and children's classes run right across the resort. For a hen do or any private session, your teacher will also come to your hotel, apartment or chosen venue anywhere on the Fylde coast.
How exactly does the flat group price work?
A single fee covers everyone. It's £140 plus the venue for a one-hour session, or £165 plus the venue if you'd rather have ninety minutes — the figure is identical for a group of eight or a group of twenty-eight. No per-head sums, and no penalty if numbers move.
What does a weekly class cost?
Every session costs £8 no matter how you book — a single drop-in or a block of four weeks, in any of the twenty styles. There's no membership and no contract, so you can sample one style now and switch to another next week.
Is any previous dancing needed?
Not a bit. Every style runs a beginner level, and hen routines assume plenty of the group have never danced a step. Our teachers do this for a living and are quick at getting first-timers moving with confidence.
Who are the teachers on the Fylde coast?
Professional dancers and choreographers working across the North West — the kind who fill their weeks with shows, tours and stage work and teach in between contracts. Anyone taking children's classes is DBS-checked.
How early do we need to book?
You can normally join a weekly class the same week you enquire. For a summer Saturday or an Illuminations weekend, allow three to five months for a hen party, since those Blackpool dates go quickest; couples working on a first dance are best starting around two or three months ahead.
Reviews From the Floor
Real Blackpool and Fylde hens, couples and weekly regulars.
I walked into an adult beginners' street class on a Wednesday having never danced, straight off the tram after work, and I have not missed one since. Warm room, nobody showing off, and I can genuinely hold a routine now.
Damian F. Adult beginner, BlackpoolFive wedding lessons turned our nervous sway into a real first dance with a lift, ready for our reception over on the Fylde coast. The choreographer even came to us in Lytham for the final run-through — best decision of the whole day.

Studios dotted across the town centre and Promenade, children's classes throughout the resort, and teachers who'll travel to your venue anywhere on the Fylde coast — we confirm the exact address once you've booked.
By Tram
Each partner studio sits a couple of minutes from a Promenade tram stop or Blackpool North — and evening classes are timed to catch people coming off the tramway after work.
Coming Into Town
Hen groups mostly arrive by rail into Blackpool North, or Blackpool South for the southern end — choose a studio close to your hotel and the rest of the day falls into place.
Honestly, Don't Drive
Town-centre parking disappears fast on event weekends and all through the Illuminations, so the tram tends to be the smart call. Set on driving? Let us know and we'll steer you towards venues that have parking close by.
We Travel Too
A hotel room, an apartment or a hired function room — your teacher travels to you anywhere on the Fylde coast, bringing the speaker and the music.
