Hen Party Dance Class Derby
Derby's Most-Booked Hen Party Activity
One Routine, the Whole Squad
A dance hen party has everyone learning the one routine together — no dividing into separate taxis, nobody left watching from the sofa. Sixty to ninety minutes under a professional choreographer, then a filmed run-through the group chat rewatches for months. Getting married yourself soon? Our wedding dance lessons come from these same choreographers.
A Class the Night Out Wraps Around
A central studio around the Cathedral Quarter leaves you a couple of minutes from Iron Gate cocktails, Sadler Gate dinner and the Friar Gate bars — or your choreographer turns up at the hotel or Airbnb wherever the group is based, music ready to go. Anyone still buzzing at the end can carry it into our regular dance classes in Derby.
38+ Themes, One Price for All
Pop icons, entire decades, West End numbers and dances from across the world — go with what the bride truly loves and the routine gets shaped around her. The price is a flat £140 for everyone together, whoever turns up, so there's no per-head sum to redo each time the numbers wobble — split between twelve hens it's a little over a tenner each. With Derby station a short walk from the centre and the ring road close by, a scattered group meets here without much fuss. Lock in a date.
Choose the Bride's Theme
More than 38 themes on the board — pick the one the bride will love most and we choreograph around it. Every single one is designed for an entire room of first-timers.

+£10How It Works
- Pick a theme — 38+ to choose from; go with the bride's favourite, not the strongest mover.
- Lock the date — Derby summer Saturdays tend to go three to five months ahead.
- Studio or we travel — a central Derby studio, or we come to you across Derbyshire.
- Learn it, laugh, perform — the filmed finale's included; encores are up to you.
The same flat fee whether six turn up or thirty — divide it up and the bigger the group, the less it costs a head.
Hen Party FAQ
What hen organisers most often want to know before they book a Derby dance class.
How much is a hen party dance class in Derby?
One flat fee covers the whole hen — £140 for the hour and £165 for a ninety-minute party — plus studio hire only when you book one of our rooms. It doesn't shift with numbers, so eight hens or twenty-eight pay the same, and £10 more puts a cold bottle on ice ready for you.
Where in Derby does the hen party class happen?
Usually a private studio near the Cathedral Quarter, putting Iron Gate, Sadler Gate and the Friar Gate bars on your doorstep for later — or your choreographer heads to the hotel, Airbnb or hall you've hired, anywhere across Derby and into Derbyshire. Derby station sits a short walk east of the centre, so a spread-out group can all reach it without much hassle.
What can we do around the class to make a day of it?
Plenty. Line the class up with bottomless brunch on Iron Gate or Wardwick, cocktails around Sadler Gate and Blacksmiths Yard, and the compact Cathedral Quarter keeps it all walkable. Groups in a country house or out in the Peak District usually have us come to them and build the day from there.
None of us can really dance — is that a problem?
Genuinely not. We build the routine a handful of counts at a time, aimed straight at people who've never set foot on a dance floor, so it comes together far quicker than anyone believes on the way in. Keenness beats talent every time, and the video always comes out looking sharper than it felt.
How far in advance should we book?
Aim three to five months ahead for a summer Saturday, and sooner still if your weekend runs into a Pride event or a big night at Derby Theatre. Midweek and quieter months are much easier — a fortnight's notice is often enough.
Can we do the routine again at the wedding?
Absolutely — mention it up front and the choreographer builds something that'll still be there months on, ready for the reception floor. A fair few of our hen bookings began life as a wedding surprise.
