The work splits four ways — regular weekly classes, Saturday hen groups, wedding first-dance coaching and school workshops — and each one wants trained dancers who can also run a room. As the coastal calendar swells over summer, so does the rota.
Paid Properly
Weekly classes pay from £22 an hour; hen and wedding work opens at £25. Whatever the figure, it's fixed before you begin and reaches your account on schedule — no invoice ever goes chasing.
Around Your Career
Tell us when you're free and the classes drop into those gaps. Plenty of our coaches do a couple of hours some weeks and nearer ten in others, then step away entirely the moment a contract or tour lands.
Room to Build
Grow a weekly class of your own while our promotion packs the room, grab casting leads from the events we run, and slide between hen, wedding and class work whenever you fancy a stretch.
Positions Available
Take a single role or juggle all three. The coaches who cover several styles are the ones who lock in the best slots on the local timetable first.
Hen Party Instructor
From £25/hrLead a themed routine for a hen group, either in a studio near the centre or wherever they've based themselves for the weekend. It's the loudest, most fun and best-rewarded slot we offer.

- Song editing support provided

Regular Class Teacher

Dance Jobs Bournemouth FAQ
The things dancers tend to ask before they sign on with us locally.
Is a formal teaching certificate needed before I apply?
Handy, but never a must. Solid dance training or genuine stage time, together with the knack of commanding a room, is what actually secures the role. A good number of our finest teachers learned the craft on the floor rather than in a lecture hall.
What does the money come to?
Ordinary weekly classes open at £22 an hour; hen and wedding choreography begins at £25. We agree the number before any booking, settle it promptly, and lift it as you shoulder more work.
What styles are you recruiting across?
Every last one of the twenty styles we run, ballet and ballroom right through to street, K-pop and heels, and on top of that dedicated hen instructors and wedding choreographers. With the seaside summer as our peak, coaches who cover a few styles fill up quickest.
Would I be freelance or on a fixed contract?
It's freelance, shaped entirely around what you can give. One coach might keep a single weekly class; another piles classes, weekend hens and school workshops into an almost-full week. You never forfeit hours simply for leaving them unbooked.
I'm still gigging and auditioning — will teaching slot in?
That's precisely the kind of person we want. Most of the local roster are jobbing performers filling the space between contracts. Share your usual pattern of free days and we'll shape the diary to match, then freeze it the week a tour lands.
