Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.

Every Kent hen do begins by choosing a theme — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, whatever suits the bride from the 38-plus list — and finishes with the whole group nailing a routine they picked up together in a single afternoon, wherever in the county you have based yourselves.

One professional choreographer walks you through each move, either at a private studio in your hub town or out at your cottage, holiday let or venue anywhere in the county. A single flat fee covers everybody there.

An afternoon on the floor, the Pantiles bars or Folkestone Harbour Arm come evening, then the routine again at the wedding six months on — that is a Kent hen weekend done right.

One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.

Nearly every rival hen outfit charges by the head, so the total shifts each time someone drops in or out. Ours is one fixed fee for the entire group, no matter how many actually surface from the holiday let and make it onto the floor.

  1. Choose your theme

Scroll all 38-plus themes and choose one for the bride. Caught between a pair? Your choreographer will gladly weave them together.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

Pick a private studio in your chosen hub town with the nightlife right outside, or have the choreographer come out to wherever you are staying, anywhere in Kent.

  3. Learn the routine together

Taught in short, beginner-friendly chunks — nobody is left out, nobody is judged and nobody hides at the wall.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

That filmed last run-through lands in the group chat within minutes, and loads of routines earn a second outing at the wedding itself.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Kent

Those ninety seconds of your first dance draw more cameras than anything else at the reception — far too much for a nervous shuffle. Our choreographers craft a private routine around your track, anything from understated to full showstopper, at a hub-town studio or your own Kent venue.

Plenty of couples take four to six lessons across the months before the wedding; our two-hour Last Minute intensive has salvaged more than one two-weeks-to-go panic. Prices open at £75, with song edits and filmed run-throughs coming in as the packages step up.

Questions, Answered

The things Kent couples and hen groups check before they book — where it runs, what it costs, whether beginners cope and how far ahead to plan. Anything we have missed, drop it in an enquiry form and we reply within a working day.

Where in Kent do the classes and hen parties run?

It depends where in the county you are. We run come-to-you sessions and partner-studio classes across Maidstone, the Medway towns of Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and the coast around Folkestone and Thanet. For hen parties and private lessons the choreographer travels to your home, holiday let or venue anywhere in Kent.

How does the flat-rate hen party pricing work?

A single flat fee looks after everyone: £140 plus the venue buys an hour and £165 plus venue buys ninety minutes, and it costs the same whether six hens meet in Tunbridge Wells or twenty gather on the Folkestone coast. There is no per-head sum to do, and the bride's £10 bottle of fizz is the only extra.

How much are the weekly dance classes?

Every weekly session is £8 no matter how you pay — drop in once or take a four-week block, right across all twenty styles and every hub town. There are no joining fees and no contracts, so street dance in Maidstone this week and salsa in Ashford the next is completely fine.

Do I need any dance experience?

Absolutely none. Every style and every hub runs a genuine beginner level, and the hen routines assume half the room is convinced they cannot dance a step. The teachers are working pros who are brilliant at getting first-timers moving quickly.

Who teaches for Dance Centre UK in Kent?

Working dancers and choreographers who live around Kent — people whose weeks are filled with shoots, touring and stage contracts, teaching in between, from the Medway towns down to the coast. Children's classes are led by DBS-checked professionals.

How far ahead should we book?

A weekly class you can normally start the very same week. Hen bookings need three to five months for peak summer Saturdays — coastal and Tunbridge Wells weekends fill first — while engaged couples do best beginning their lessons a couple of months before the big day.

What Our Dancers Say

Hen weekends, first dances and weekly classes, right across the county.

Half our hen party lives in London and half never left Maidstone, so we met in the middle with a Grease class. By the hand jive nobody remembered which camp they were in — which was rather the point.

Tamsin Vardley Maid of honour, Maidstone

The teacher came out to our village hall near Faversham for a private ballroom session — six neighbours, one long-running joke about Strictly ambitions, and genuinely the best evening our WI has organised in years.

Reece Quinnell Village-hall booking, Faversham

Our wedding barn in the Weald had a beautiful, unforgiving brick floor. The choreographer built our first dance around gliding rather than turning — elegant, safe, and the photographer said it was the easiest dance she'd ever shot.
