Fourteen of us learned the Spice Girls number in a Quayside studio, then piled straight up the bank into the Bigg Market. The choreographer had the whole room howling, and that clip still sits pinned in our group chat.

Weekly classes in twenty styles, 38+ hen party themes and wedding first dances — run by the working dancers behind Tyneside's videos, tours and stage shows, from the city centre to the Quayside.
Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.
A hen party dance class in Newcastle begins with a theme — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, whatever fits the bride, with 38+ on the list — and builds until the whole group can perform a routine they learned side by side that afternoon.
A professional choreographer teaches every step in a private studio in the heart of town, or loads up the speaker and comes to your hotel or Airbnb anywhere across Newcastle and Tyneside. One flat rate covers everyone.
Class in the afternoon, cocktails on the Diamond Strip come evening, and the routine wheeled out again at the wedding half a year later — that's a Newcastle hen do done right.
One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.
Most hen companies price it by the head, so the number changes whenever a name is added or drops off. We set one fixed price for the whole group — however many of the hens actually surface on the day.

Pick your theme
Scroll the 38+ themes and land on the one that is most the bride. Torn between a pair of them? Your choreographer is happy to splice the two into one.
-
A studio, or your place
A private studio in the middle of town with the whole night out on the doorstep, or the choreographer comes to wherever you are based, anywhere across Newcastle and Tyneside.
-
Pick it up as a group
Every move taught in short, easy sections that anyone can follow — no exceptions, no sniggering, nobody left propping up the wall.
-
Perform it, maybe twice
The final filmed take drops into the group chat before you have even packed up, and loads of routines get a repeat performance at the wedding itself.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Newcastle
Your first dance is the ninety seconds of the reception that everyone films — far too big a moment to trust to a nervous shuffle. Our choreographers craft a private routine to fit your song, whether that is understated and graceful or an all-out showstopper, at a studio in town or your own venue.
Most couples run through four to six sessions in the months ahead of the day, and the two-hour Last Minute intensive has hauled more than one panicking pair back from the brink. Packages open at £75, with song editing and filmed rehearsals added in as the package grows.

Questions, Answered
The questions Geordie dancers raise before they book — the venues, the cost, whether experience matters and how early to pin a date down. Anything we have not covered, the enquiry forms land with us within one working day.
Whereabouts in Newcastle do the classes and hen parties happen?
The partner studios are dotted around the city centre — Grey Street, the Monument, Grainger Town — a couple of minutes from Central Station, with more down on the Quayside by the bridges and out in Ouseburn and Jesmond; children's classes go on through the suburbs, and you get the precise address on booking. For a hen do or private session, the choreographer brings a speaker to your hotel, Airbnb or hired room anywhere across Newcastle and Tyneside.
How does the flat-rate hen pricing actually add up?
A single figure buys the whole group in: £140 plus the venue for sixty minutes, or £165 plus the venue for ninety, no matter whether ten of you make it or twenty-six. There is no dividing by head and no awkward top-up when someone pulls out at the last minute.
And what do the weekly classes set you back?
Every session is £8, drop-in and four-week block alike — the same deal across all twenty styles. No sign-up, no membership, no contract, so you could do street on Monday, salsa on Wednesday and something else entirely the week after.
Do we need any dance experience first?
None at all. There is a real beginners' level in every style, and the hen routines are built assuming most of the group last danced at a school disco. Our teachers do this for a living — their whole knack is getting jittery newcomers moving before track one has finished.
So who teaches for Dance Centre UK in Newcastle?
Dancers and choreographers who work on Tyneside's own scene — their weeks go on film shoots, touring and the stages at the Theatre Royal and The Glasshouse, with teaching slotted around it. Anyone leading children's classes is DBS-checked.
How far in advance do we need to book?
You can normally start a weekly class the same week you drop us a line. For a summer Saturday, hen weekends need booking three to five months ahead — Newcastle is one of the busiest hen cities going and pulls groups in by the trainload, so the prime dates disappear fast — while wedding couples are best beginning lessons two or three months before the day.
What Our Dancers Say
Hen dos, first dances and weekly classes right across Tyneside.
I tried a salsa class one Tuesday straight from work near Grey Street, and now I'm at socials two evenings a week. The constant partner-swapping means you have met half of Newcastle by the end of the month.
Ross T. Weekly student, NewcastleFive wedding lessons up in Jesmond turned our hopeless swaying into a routine with an actual dip. That final run-through at the venue itself was the smartest money of the entire wedding.

Partner studios dotted through the city centre, the Quayside and Ouseburn, kids' classes out in the neighbourhoods, and choreographers who take the whole class to your venue right across Newcastle, Gateshead and the coast — we pin down the precise address once you are booked.
By Metro
Nearly every partner studio is a couple of minutes' walk from a Metro stop — evening classes finish late enough to suit anyone travelling in off the coast or the suburbs after work.
Rolling Into Town
Trains pour into Central Station on the East Coast Main Line from every direction — book a studio near the Monument and the whole day builds itself around it.
Leave the Car
The centre is tight but seriously steep down to the river, so most people leave the car once — Eldon Square, the Quayside or by the station — and walk or jump on the Metro from there. Driving in? Let us know and we will steer you toward venues with parking right beside them.
We Travel Too
A hotel room, a rented hall or your own front room — the choreographer will drive out to you right across Newcastle, Gateshead and the coast, with the speaker and the playlist sorted.
