Class Structure

Beginners Class — 60 Minutes

0–10 mins

Cardio-Style Warm-Up

K-pop routines are a workout, so we get the heart rate up and the joints loose — ankles, knees, wrists and neck — before any counts get thrown at you.

10–22 mins

Break Down the Point Moves

We isolate the signature hits the song is famous for and drill them on their own, slowly, until the shape and the timing both land.

22–40 mins

Section by Section

The verse, pre-chorus and chorus are learned in mirror-image chunks and stacked together, so the full routine builds in an order you can actually retain.

40–52 mins

Formations and Sync

We space out into the group's formations and chase the synchronisation — everyone hitting the same frame at the same moment, which is the whole look of a cover.

52–60 mins

Full Run and Film

We run the section full-speed to the track a few times, film a take if the room is up for it, then stretch the legs and shoulders down.

About K-Pop Classes in Middlesbrough

K-pop dance is newer to Middlesbrough than the studio styles, and we would rather be straight about that than invent a scene. There is no long-running idol cover-dance night in the town, so our K-pop classes in Middlesbrough start as an instructor-led class built around the people who actually want it — likely teens and twenty-somethings, and plenty of Teesside University students among them — running where the interest is rather than in a made-up weekly hub.

The class is choreography-cover in style: we take a well-known idol-group routine and learn it properly, section by section, mirror-first, until the whole thing is under your belt. That means the sharp 'point' moves the songs are built around — the signature hits everyone films — plus the formations, the timing and the clean synchronisation that makes a group cover look like the real video rather than a scramble.

Because we come to you, there is no fixed studio to reach yet — tell us your corner of Teesside, whether that is central Middlesbrough, Linthorpe, Acklam, Marton, Nunthorpe or Coulby Newham, and we will look at a session near you. Middlesbrough railway station is the simple arrival if we run centrally; there is no tram in the town, so it is train, bus or a lift. Wear trainers you can spin in, bring water, and it is £8 on the day with nothing to sign.

Why Choose K-Pop in Middlesbrough?

The Point Moves, Done Properly

The signature hits are what everyone remembers and films, so we drill them until they are crisp rather than rushing to fake the whole routine at once.

Sync and Formations

A cover only looks right when the group moves as one, so we spend real time on spacing and timing, not just the steps in isolation.

Honest, Not Hyped

We are not claiming an established idol-dance scene Middlesbrough does not have. This is a fresh instructor-led class built on real interest across Teesside.

We Travel Across Teesside

No central studio to get to — we bring the class to schools, colleges, university societies and private groups anywhere across Teesside.

Your K-Pop Journey

From first class to confident dancer — here is how it usually goes.

Weeks 1–4

First Routine In

In the room

You learn one manageable chorus properly — the point moves broken down and drilled until the shapes are yours.

By the end

You can dance a full chorus to tempo and hit the signature moves without hunting for them.

Month 2

Faster Pickup

In the room

We add verses and pre-choruses and start speeding up how quickly new sections go in.

By the end

You pick up a fresh eight from the mirror faster and hold a longer stretch of a routine.

Months 3–5

Sync and Sharpness

In the room

The focus shifts to clean lines and group timing — everyone landing the same frame together, formations included.

By the end

You cover a full song in a group and it reads like the video, tight rather than loose.

Month 6+

Performance-Ready

In the room

Whole routines, formation changes and filming takes worth actually posting.

By the end

You have a couple of full covers you can perform or film with a group and be proud of.

K-Pop in Middlesbrough FAQ

Everything you need to know before your first class.

Does Middlesbrough actually have a K-pop dance class? +

It is one we are building, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend a weekly idol-dance night already exists here. We run an instructor-led cover class shaped around genuine local interest, so telling us you want it is what gets it going.

Where does it run? +

Wherever the demand is across Teesside, because we come to you — there is no single fixed studio yet. If we run centrally, Middlesbrough railway station is the easy arrival, since the town has no tram.

How much is it? +

£8 a session, paid on the day. No membership, no term and no advance block — you only pay for the class you show up to.

Do I need to be a fan or already dance? +

Neither helps nor is required. You do not have to follow the groups to enjoy learning the choreography, and total beginners are welcome — everything is broken down from zero.

Whose routines do you teach? +

Popular, well-known idol-group choreography that suits the group's level. We pick routines people recognise and that break down cleanly, rather than the most punishing thing out there.

Is it a good workout? +

Genuinely, yes. Full-speed K-pop routines are cardio in disguise — expect to be warm and out of breath, which is half the fun of it.

What should I wear? +

Comfortable clothes you can move fully in and trainers with enough grip to spin but enough give to cushion. Bring water; the routines do not let up.

Can you teach K-pop at our school or society? +

Yes — schools, colleges and university dance societies are exactly who this suits. We travel across Teesside to Linthorpe, Acklam, Marton and beyond; add your venue to the form.

Do you run K-pop for under-18s? +

We do, in age-banded groups with DBS-checked teachers kept separate from any adult class. Add the dancer's age on the form and we will place them in the right session.
