Dance Jobs in Dundee
We are hiring dance teachers and choreographers the length of Dundee — the West End, the city centre and across into Angus. Hours are freelance and yours to shape, pay starts at £22, and the whole thing bends around the performing life you already lead.
Join Our Dundee Team
There is steady, growing work on the Dundee books: school workshops through the term, couples after a first dance, hen groups most Saturdays, and a weekly class timetable that needs teachers. Every bit of it wants dancers who can lead a room, not just fill one.
Paid Properly
Pay opens at £22 an hour on the weekly timetable and £25 for hen and wedding choreography. We settle the figure before anything is booked, it arrives on schedule, and you will never be left emailing about an unpaid invoice.
Around Your Career
Tell us when you are free and the work slots in around it, never the reverse. Some teachers keep a single weekly class; others build toward a near-full week and then wind it right back when a tour or a run comes in. Nothing is ever use-it-or-lose-it.
Room to Build
Launch a class under your own name and we will do the marketing that packs it out. Get early word on casting through our events team, and move across the different roles as your range grows.

Dance Jobs Dundee FAQ
What instructors most often want to know before applying to teach with us in Dundee.
Do I need a formal qualification to apply for dance jobs in Dundee?
Not at all — a qualification is a bonus, not a gate. What actually gets you hired is proper training or time on stage, together with the confidence to command a room full of strangers. Plenty of our team learned to teach by doing it, long after they learned to dance.
What do dance teachers get paid in Dundee?
You start on £22 an hour for regular classes and £25 for hen and wedding choreography. We pin the figure down ahead of every booking, pay it on time, and review it upward as you take on more.
Which styles are you actually short of teachers for?
All twenty on the books are fair game — K-pop and heels, street and commercial, right back to ballroom, ballet and tap — and there is standing demand for people who can front a hen party or choreograph a first dance. The broader your range, the faster your diary tends to fill.
Which parts of Dundee and Angus would I be teaching in?
Mostly the West End and city-centre studios, with come-to-you work reaching out to Broughty Ferry, Barnhill, Monifieth, Invergowrie and further into Angus. If you can travel a little, that widens what we can offer you — and we are always straight about the mileage before you agree to anything.
I still gig and audition — will teaching bend around that?
Exactly the people we are hoping to hear from. Loads of our Dundee teachers are working performers who fit classes between contracts. Give us a rough map of your month, we will schedule around the busy stretches, and everything goes on pause the moment a tour or a run books in.
