Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.

Every Bath hen booking opens on a theme — Beyoncé, ABBA or Wicked, with 38-plus to weigh up — and closes with the entire group nailing a routine they picked up side by side that very afternoon, minutes from the Abbey.

Your choreographer walks everyone through each move in a private room near SouthGate, or brings the lot to your rented townhouse or hotel, wherever in Bath or its outlying villages you happen to be. A single flat fee takes care of the group.

Dancing through the afternoon, drinks around the Abbey Churchyard come nightfall, then the routine resurfacing at the wedding half a year on — a Bath hen weekend done right.

One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.

Charge per head, the way most hen firms do, and the total lurches with every wobble on the guest list. We work the other way: one set fee for the whole group, no matter how many of you actually make it out for the afternoon.

One price whether 6 hens turn up or 30 — nobody pays extra when the plans wobble.

  1. Choose your theme

Scroll the 38+ themes and pick the one that is most the bride. Caught between two? Your choreographer will happily splice them into a single routine.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

Either a central studio with SouthGate and the Abbey bars a step away, or the choreographer coming to wherever you are staying, right across Bath and out into the villages.

  3. Learn the routine together

Every move broken into short, repeatable sections pitched at total beginners — no experience assumed, no judgement, nobody left at the edge.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

We film the last full run-through for the group chat, and a good number of routines earn an encore at the wedding itself.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Bath

Those ninety seconds of the first dance draw more cameras than anything else at the reception — far too important for an anxious shuffle. Our choreographers assemble a private routine around your track, anywhere from clean and simple to an outright showstopper, in a central Bath studio or over at your venue.

Four to six sessions across the run-up suits most couples; when it is left dangerously late, the two-hour Last Minute intensive has salvaged more than one two-weeks-to-go meltdown. Packages open at £75 and pick up song editing and filmed run-throughs as they climb.

Questions, Answered

The things Bath couples and hen groups check before committing — where it runs, what it costs, whether experience matters and how far ahead to plan. Anything we have not covered reaches us through the forms inside a working day.

Where in Bath do the classes and hen parties run?

Central studios around SouthGate, Kingsmead Square and Walcot, with children's classes over in Widcombe and Larkhall. For hen parties and private sessions, the choreographer also travels to your hotel, townhouse rental or venue anywhere across Bath and the surrounding villages.

How does the flat-rate hen party pricing work?

A single fee covers the lot: £140 plus venue for sixty minutes or £165 plus venue for ninety, whether eight of you turn out or twenty-eight. No dividing by heads, no penalty when the numbers shift.

How much are the weekly dance classes?

It is £8 a class whichever way you pay — one drop-in or a block of four, right across the twenty styles. Nothing to join and nothing to sign; do one style this week, swap to another the next.

Do I need any dance experience?

None at all — every style runs a beginner level, and hen routines assume half the group swears they have two left feet. Our teachers are working pros who are very good at getting first-timers moving quickly.

Who teaches for Dance Centre UK in Bath?

Dancers and choreographers who make their living on tours, studio shoots and Theatre Royal runs, teaching in the gaps between jobs. The children's classes are led by DBS-checked professionals.

How far ahead should we book?

A weekly class you can normally start within days. Hen groups should allow three to five months for a summer Saturday, since Bath fills quickly once wedding season is under way, while first-dance couples want to begin two or three months ahead.

What Our Dancers Say

Weekly classes, first dances and hen mornings, right across town.

There were fourteen of us on the Spice Girls routine in a room just off SouthGate, before pouring out around the Abbey. Our choreographer had us in stitches, and that final clip is still pinned to the top of the group chat.

Nima R. Maid of honour, Bath

Took up salsa on a Tuesday evening after work near Kingsmead Square, and I am at two socials a week now. Because everyone swaps partners, you have met half of Bath inside a month.

Callum B. Weekly student, Bath

Five lessons up in Walcot took us from a nervous shuffle to a proper routine, dip and all. That run-through at the venue the week before was the best-spent money of the entire wedding.

Find Us in Bath

Central studios around SouthGate and Walcot, children's classes across Widcombe and Larkhall, and choreographers who travel to your venue anywhere across Bath and the surrounding villages — exact addresses confirmed when you book.

On Foot

Central Bath is walkable end to end — every studio is a few minutes on foot from Bath Spa station, though the hills and cobbles mean flat shoes beat heels for the walk over.

Coming Into Town

Hen groups arrive by train straight into Bath Spa station — direct services from Cardiff, Salisbury and the south coast, with fast trains up to the capital too — and the studios and bars are a short walk uphill from there.

Honestly, Don't Drive

Bath's restricted streets, steep hills and pricey, limited central parking make driving in a headache. Use a park-and-ride — Lansdown, Newbridge or Odd Down each hold several hundred cars on a weekend — and let the bus drop you in the centre.

We Travel Too

Townhouse rental, hotel or hired hall — choreographers come to you anywhere across Bath and out to the surrounding villages, speaker and music included.
