Dance Jobs in Bath

Freelance teaching and choreography work throughout Bath and the towns around it — you choose the hours, we pay upward of £22, and the whole thing bends around the performing career you are already chasing.

Join Our Bath Team

The Bath calendar rarely stops growing. Between a weekly timetable, Saturday hen bookings, couples' first-dance work and workshops inside schools, we are forever short of trained dancers who can also run a room.

Paid Properly

A weekly class pays £22 an hour and hen or wedding work £25; each rate is settled in advance and reaches your account on schedule, so nobody is left chasing an unpaid invoice.

Around Your Career

Hand us the hours you are free and we do the filling-in. For most people that lands somewhere between a couple and ten in any given week, tucked among castings, tours and contracts, with an easy pause whenever a booking arrives.

Room to Build

Grow a regular class that is genuinely yours while our marketing pushes people through the door, lift casting leads off the events roster when they suit, and drift between the different roles as your range widens.

Positions Available

There are three kinds of role below; do a single one or layer up the lot. Whoever covers the widest spread of styles gets first refusal on the schedule.

Hen Party Instructor

From £25/hr

Lead a themed routine for a hen group, either in a central studio or wherever the party happens to be staying — the loudest and best-paid weekend slot we hand out.

  • 38+ themes, choreography provided
  • 1–1.5 hour sessions
  • Studios & come-to-you across Bath & the villages
  • Weekend availability essential

Wedding Dance Choreographer

From £25/hr

Shape a first dance with a couple, one pair at a time and behind a closed door — a calm, patient manner earns this far more than a glittering CV.

  • 1-hour private lessons
  • Your schedule, their song
  • Song editing support provided
  • Beginner-teaching experience essential

Regular Class Teacher

From £22/hr

Hold a regular slot in whatever style is yours, gather a crowd and let it snowball into a fuller week, with our marketing keeping the room topped up.

  • 20 styles on the timetable
  • Evening & weekend slots
  • Adults & children's classes
  • Marketing support included

Dance Jobs Bath FAQ

The things teachers tend to want cleared up before signing on with us here.

Is a formal teaching qualification a must before I apply?

Nice to have, never a barrier. What genuinely lands the role is solid training or a performing background paired with the knack of commanding a room. Several of our strongest instructors arrived at teaching through dancing rather than the reverse.

What does the pay actually come to?

A standard class opens at £22 an hour, with hen and wedding choreography beginning at £25. Each figure is pinned down before you start, settled promptly, and nudged up as your workload grows.

What styles are you actually short of teachers in?

Every one of the twenty on the schedule, from ballet and ballroom through to street, K-pop and heels, and we are after hen leaders and wedding choreographers besides. Anyone easy across a handful of styles books out soonest.

Would the work be full-time, or freelance?

Freelance and flexible, shaped by the hours you offer. One person might keep a lone weekly slot; the next piles classes, Saturday hens and school sessions into an almost full week. None of it is use-it-or-lose-it.

I still perform and audition — will this flex around that?

Exactly the people we go looking for. Most of the Bath roster are jobbing performers plugging the gaps between contracts with teaching. Give us the shape of your week and we work to it, then park the lot the week a tour turns up.
