Hen Party Dance Class Reading

The Hen Do Reading Asks For by Name

Everyone on the Same Steps

The whole point of a dance hen do is that everyone learns the same routine shoulder to shoulder — no dividing into cabs, no one left watching. Sixty or ninety minutes with a professional choreographer, and it ends on a video the chat will still be sending round weeks later. Getting married yourself? Those same choreographers teach our wedding dance lessons.

On the Doorstep of the Night

Pick a private studio in the town centre and you're a couple of minutes from the Oracle Riverside terraces and the Friar Street bars for drinks and dinner after — or we bring the whole session to wherever the hens are staying, from a hotel function room to a Caversham Airbnb, kit and playlist included. Anyone who catches the bug can carry on at our weekly dance classes in Reading.

38+ Themes, a Single Fee

Decades, chart divas, stage musicals, dances from across the map — land on whatever the bride loves most and the routine is built around it. That £140 is a single fee for the entire hen, and it never rises with the headcount; so instead of paying £30 or £40 each the old way, you split one price — a dozen hens brings it to roughly a tenner apiece, a bigger group less again. Reading pulls a scattered squad together without fuss, quick by rail and right off the M4. Lock in a date.

Find the Bride's Theme

There are 38-plus hen themes pinned up here — choose the one that's the bride all over and we build the routine to match. Every last one suits a group that has never rehearsed together.

A Studio, or Wherever You're Staying

Book a private room from us, or have the class come to your accommodation — either does the job.

A Town-Centre Studio

Central Reading

You get a private studio right in central Reading — proper floor, a door that shuts, just your group and no one else. Head out after and the Oracle Riverside, the Kennet terraces and Friar Street are minutes away. We name the exact room when you confirm.

We Come to Your Door

Across Reading & Berkshire

Give us a hotel suite, a living-room Airbnb or a booked hall anywhere across Reading — as far out as Caversham, Woodley or Wokingham — and the choreographer arrives with speaker and routine good to go. Most hens sharing a house for the weekend go this way.

How It Works

  1. Pick the theme — 38+ to browse; go by what the bride loves, not who dances best.
  2. Set the date — a peak-summer Saturday in Reading is best pinned three to five months ahead.
  3. Studio or your place — book our central room, or have us bring it all to your accommodation.
  4. Learn, film, celebrate — the recorded finale comes as standard; an encore is entirely your call.

Six hens or thirty, the fee holds still — the more who come, the smaller each share ends up.

Hen Party FAQ

The questions that come up while pulling a Reading hen do together.

How much is a hen party dance class in Reading?

It comes to one price for the whole hen — £140 for the hour, or £165 if you stretch it to ninety — with studio hire the only possible extra, and only when you book one of our rooms. Because it's billed to the group and not per person, the more who turn up the less each pays: fifteen hens works out under a tenner a head, against the £30 or £40 a per-head activity would ask. A cold bottle of bubbly on arrival adds £10.

Where in Reading does the class actually happen?

Most times it's a private town-centre studio, an easy walk from the Oracle Riverside, Friar Street and Gun Street when you want drinks after. Fancy staying in? We'll run the whole thing at your hotel, an Airbnb or a hall you've hired. With no tram in Reading, buses and taxis join the centre to places like Caversham and Tilehurst.

What else can we build the day around in Reading?

Plenty, and the class slots neatly into a bigger day. Run it in the afternoon, then move on to cocktails and a meal by the Oracle Riverside or round the Friar Street bars, saving Gun Street and St Mary's Butts for later. For daytime, Forbury Gardens and the Abbey Quarter make a lovely wander, and hens based in Caversham usually have us come to them.

None of us can really dance — is that a problem?

Truthfully, not in the slightest. Each routine arrives in tiny, repeatable chunks made for people who have never danced, so it clicks far sooner than the room expects. Keenness counts for more than experience every single time — and on the replay you will all look a lot tidier than it ever felt in the moment.

How early should we book a Reading hen party?

A peak-summer Saturday wants three to five months' notice — those go first. If the date sits near Reading Festival out at Richfield Avenue in late August, leave even longer, as rooms and cabs get scarce right across town then. Off-season or midweek, a fortnight or two often does it.

Could we keep the routine for the wedding day?

A lot of hens end up doing just that. Say the word early and your choreographer makes the routine tough enough to survive the months in between and reappear on the wedding-reception floor. Plenty of these bookings, in fact, started out as a secret first-dance surprise for the couple's big day.
