Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.

A hen party dance class in Nottingham kicks off by picking a theme for the bride — Beyoncé, ABBA, Wicked, take your pick of 38+ — and ends with everyone performing a full routine they learned side by side in one afternoon.

A professional choreographer breaks every move down in a private studio around the Old Market Square, over in the Lace Market or up in Hockley, or heads out to your hotel or Airbnb right across Greater Nottingham. One flat price covers the lot.

Learn it over an afternoon, hit the Lace Market cocktail bars as the evening kicks off, then bring the routine back out at the wedding months on — that's a Nottingham hen do done right.

One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.

Nearly every hen party outfit in Nottingham still quotes a per-head rate, so the bill shifts each time the guest list changes. We flip it round — one fixed price covering the entire group, however many actually turn up on the day.

  1. Choose your theme

Scroll the 38+ themes and choose the one that's most the bride. Can't split two favourites? Your choreographer will happily merge them into one.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

A private studio in the middle of town with the bars right outside the door, or the choreographer drives out to wherever the group is staying across the county.

  3. Learn the routine together

Each move taught in bite-sized chunks aimed at total beginners — nobody's judged, nobody's rushed, nobody ends up parked by the wall.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

The last run-through gets filmed, so it lands in the group chat before you've all caught your breath, and plenty of these routines earn a second outing on the wedding floor.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Nottingham

The first dance is the ninety seconds of the day that ends up on every guest's phone — worth rather more than a nervous shuffle round the floor. A choreographer builds you a private routine to suit your song, from understated and simple right up to a full-blown showstopper, at a studio in town or out at your venue.

Four to six sessions in the couple of months beforehand works for most couples; the two-hour Last Minute intensive, though, has rescued more than one wedding that was barely a fortnight away. Packages open at £75, with song trimming and recorded rehearsals bundled in as you move up the range.

Questions, Answered

The questions Nottingham couples and hen organisers put to us most — the locations, the price, whether a room of beginners can keep up, and how far ahead to plan. Anything we've missed, the enquiry forms land with us inside one working day.

Where in Nottingham will we actually be dancing?

Partner studios sit right in the heart of town around the Old Market Square, a step into the Lace Market's Victorian warehouse quarter and up in Hockley, with children's classes spread across the wider city — the exact address lands with your booking. For a hen do or a private session, the choreographer loads the car with a speaker and travels to your hotel, Airbnb or hired room anywhere around Nottingham.

Is the hen party priced per head, or per group?

Per group, every time — one number, whoever turns up on the day. It's £140 and the venue for a full hour, or £165 and the venue for ninety minutes, and it holds firm whether a dozen hens make it or a couple past twenty. If someone drops out at the last minute, nobody else is left covering the gap.

And the weekly classes — what do they cost?

It's £8 a class across the board — single drop-in or four-week block, same price, whichever of the twenty styles you fancy. No joining fee, no membership, no contract — so you can try tap this week, bachata the next, and Bollywood after that.

What if none of us can dance?

Then you're the exact group these sessions are built for. Every style opens with a proper beginners' level, and the hen routines take it as read that most of the room hasn't danced in years. As far as our teachers are concerned, the win is having a nervous first-timer grinning and joining in before the first track's done.

Who's actually teaching us?

Working dancers and choreographers off Nottingham's own circuit — the people who gig, tour and shoot around a city that gave the world Rock City and a Victorian theatre still packing them in, teaching in the gaps between contracts. Anyone taking children's classes is a DBS-checked professional.

How much notice do you need from us?

Weekly classes you can usually just turn up to in the same week you get in touch. Hen weekends are the ones to lock in early — Nottingham draws hen and stag crowds all year, and the summer-Saturday slots near the Lace Market and Hockley fill fast — so give it three to five months if you can. Couples building a first dance tend to start two or three months out from the day.

What Our Dancers Say

Weekly classes, first dances and hen dos — from right across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

There were sixteen of us learning a Spice Girls number in a Lace Market studio before we hit the bars on Broad Street. Our teacher kept us laughing the entire hour, and the video from the last run still lives at the top of our group chat.

Hannah W. Maid of honour, Nottingham

I dropped into an after-work salsa class one Tuesday near the Old Market Square, and I've been back at the weekly socials ever since. The partners keep changing round, so a month in you've danced with half of Nottingham.

Lewis C. Weekly student, Nottingham

Five first-dance lessons out in Beeston turned our hopeless sway into a proper routine, dip included. Paying for that final rehearsal at the reception venue was the best decision of the entire wedding.
