Join Our Edinburgh Team

Edinburgh's diary is filling out fast — weekly classes, Saturday hen parties, wedding first dances and school workshops all want professional dancers who can teach a room.

Paid, and Paid On Time

£22 an hour to start on weekly classes, £25 on hen parties and wedding choreography — the rate's fixed before you begin, and payment lands on schedule with no chasing.

Fitted Round Your Career

You name the hours; we book around them. Most of our Edinburgh teachers take anywhere from two hours to a near-full week, fitted between auditions, contracts and touring — and it all goes on hold the moment a job pulls you away.

Room to Grow

Turn a weekly class into a real following while our marketing does the promoting, take on casting leads off our events diary, and move between or add roles as your range widens.

Dance Jobs Edinburgh FAQ

What instructors ask before signing up with the Edinburgh team.

Do I need a teaching qualification to teach for you in Edinburgh?

Welcome, but not a requirement. The role goes to whoever has proper dance training or genuine performing experience and can command a class of strangers. Several of our best instructors learned teaching on the job, having arrived from the stage rather than the classroom.

How much does the teaching pay in Edinburgh?

Regular classes open at £22 an hour, hen and wedding choreography at £25. We settle every rate up front, pay it on schedule, and raise it as your hours grow.

Which styles are you looking to hire in Edinburgh?

The full twenty on the roster — everything from ballroom and ballet to heels, K-pop and street — with hen-party instructors and wedding choreographers on top. Teach a handful of styles and you'll fill an Edinburgh week the fastest.

Is this salaried or freelance work?

It's freelance, shaped entirely around your availability. One teacher might run a single class a week; another stacks daytime sessions, Saturday hen parties and the odd school workshop into most of a working week. Nothing here works on a use-it-or-lose-it basis.

I'm still gigging and auditioning — will teaching fit in?

Exactly the people we look for. A lot of the Edinburgh roster are performers who teach in the gaps between jobs. Tell us when you're generally free and we'll fit the work in — and pause the whole lot the week a tour or contract starts.
