About This Strictly Hen Party Dance Class in Telford

Sparkle, sequins and a bit of scorecard theatre — a Strictly dance hen party Telford serves all of it up for the sheer fun of the thing. We aren't pretending to any lofty ballroom lineage, and frankly it would only get in the way; what carries the afternoon is the showbiz of it, the costume reveal, the routine, the roar when the paddles go up. Set up at your accommodation and, over a single hour, a huddle of people who have never danced becomes a shimmering little troupe ready for its close-up.

The format hands everyone a taste of a few disciplines — the glide of a waltz, a flirty cha-cha, the stomp and stare of a paso — then splits you into a friendly face-off judged on our own foam paddles, wrapping up with a group '10'. Beginners are welcome from the off in a Strictly dance hen do Telford, each step pulled apart nice and slow, the mood tilted firmly towards laughing over competing. Since we come to you throughout Telford and Shropshire, a Southwater hotel, a place in Wellington or Lawley, or a house out towards Dawley or Ironbridge all suit us fine.

One thing worth spelling out plainly: we run this as an independent hen-party dance service, and it is a tribute session only — we hold no partnership with, sponsorship from or official tie to the broadcaster behind Strictly Come Dancing, nor to the programme, its panel of judges or its hosts. Cost comes as a single flat figure — £140 for an hour, £165 for ninety minutes, going to the instructor — with a room hired only if you want one and a £10 bottle for the bride entirely optional. You bring the sequins; the paddles and the drama are down to us.

What Our Hens Say

Strictly hen parties we have taught across Telford.

"We plan our whole week around that show, so this landed perfectly. They set up in our Southwater hotel, walked us through fragments of three different dances, and once the paddles appeared it turned into total, joyful bedlam. The bride scored her '10' and got genuinely emotional."

— Zara Colley ★★★★★
Strictly

"What won me over was how hard they went on the costumes and the drama while being crystal clear this is a homage, nothing to do with the actual broadcaster. A little waltz, a cha-cha, a stomping paso and a marked finale — favourite afternoon of the whole do."

— Katie Overton ★★★★★

"Not one of us had a clue and yet we all felt like proper contestants. The judging is theatre from start to end — paddles waving, the room in uproar. They happily made the trip out to Lawley. Straight tens across the board from us."

— Robyn Tranter ★★★★★

"Glitter, belly laughs and a '10' to wave us off. Sixty minutes, a glass of fizz for the bride, then out into the night dripping in sequins. Faultless Telford hen do, and every single one of us was a complete novice."

— Naomi Bytheway ★★★★★

Strictly Hen Party FAQ

Everything you need to know about our Strictly hen party dance class in Telford.

Are you connected to the TV show? +

Not in the slightest, and we say so openly. This is an independent hen-party dance service running a tribute to the format. We hold no partnership, sponsorship or official link with the broadcaster, the Strictly Come Dancing programme, or the judges and presenters who appear on it. All we borrow is the glitz and the scoring gimmick, purely for a laugh.

None of us can do ballroom — is that OK? +

Genuinely fine — what we teach are short tasters, never full graded routines. Each hen picks up a couple of trademark steps from a waltz, a cha-cha and a paso, enough to duel for the paddles and giggle through it. Everything is slowed right down and demonstrated bit by bit, and the emphasis sits squarely on enjoyment. Prior dancing counts for nothing here.

Will you come to where we're based? +

We will, anywhere you like across Telford and Shropshire — a Southwater hotel, a flat close to Telford Central, or a house in Wellington, Lawley or nearer Ironbridge. All we ask is a lounge-worth of clear floor and a spare socket for the music. Every paddle and every last sequin arrives with us.

How does the scoring actually work? +

Our version is gloriously silly — foam paddles waved about and heaps of cheering, with nobody stern doing the marking. You either split into pairs or take it in turns to show off what you've picked up, we flash daft scores for effect, and the whole room lands together on a shared '10'. That reveal is everyone's favourite part, and there are no real losers.

What's the cost, and how big can we be? +

A flat rate: £140 for an hour or £165 for ninety minutes, any group from five to thirty. Included are the instructor, the choreography, the edit and the photo time. A room hire is only extra where yours is too small, and the bride's bottle is a voluntary tenner.

Can we make a night of it? +

Naturally. Most groups take the class in the afternoon, then glam up and head down to the Southwater bars and restaurants for the evening. An hour covers the full scored party; the ninety-minute slot hands everyone a little longer in the spotlight before you head out.
