Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.

Every Bristol hen party dance class begins with a theme — take your pick of 38+, from Beyoncé and ABBA to Wicked — and ends with the whole group nailing a routine they picked up together in a single afternoon.

Inside a private studio around Stokes Croft, the Old City or the Harbourside, a professional choreographer walks everyone through the routine section by section — or brings the speaker and playlist to wherever the hens are staying, right across greater Bristol. The whole party pays one fixed rate.

A class in the afternoon, cocktails on the Harbourside or King Street by dark, the routine reprised at the wedding months on — that is a Bristol hen weekend done right.

One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.

Nearly every Bristol hen party company still charges per head, so the total lurches about each time someone joins or drops out. Our way is simpler — one set fee for the whole group, whether six of you make it down to the Harbourside or twenty-six do.

  1. Choose your theme

Run through the 38+ themes and land on the one that screams the bride — stuck between a couple? We'll happily merge them into a single routine.

  2. Pick studio or come-to-you

A private studio around Stokes Croft, the Old City or the Harbourside with the night out on the doorstep, or the choreographer comes to your accommodation anywhere across greater Bristol.

  3. Learn the routine together

The whole routine arrives in short, repeatable chunks aimed squarely at beginners — nobody is left standing awkwardly at the edge.

  4. Perform it — maybe twice

The final run-through gets filmed and dropped straight into the group chat — and a fair few of these routines reappear at the reception itself, months down the line.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Bristol

Of the entire reception, the first dance is the bit that ends up on every phone in the room — so it is worth a little more than swaying on the spot. A choreographer builds you a routine to your chosen track, pitched wherever you like between quietly elegant and full-on showpiece, at a central studio or your wedding venue itself.

Most couples give it a handful of sessions in the weeks before the wedding, and the two-hour Last Minute intensive has rescued the odd bride and groom with barely a fortnight left. Packages begin at £75, and the bigger tiers add song editing and rehearsal videos as you climb.

Questions, Answered

The questions Bristol tends to ask before booking — studios, prices, experience levels and lead times. Anything we've not covered, send it via an enquiry form and we'll reply inside one working day.

Whereabouts in Bristol are the classes and hen parties based?

Our partner studios are dotted around Stokes Croft, the Old City and King Street, and across on the Harbourside; kids' classes run city-wide, and you get the precise address once you book. Booking a hen do or a private session? The choreographer will happily come to you instead — your hotel, an Airbnb or a hired room, anywhere from central Bristol out across the West of England.

How does the one flat hen party rate actually work?

Yes. The group pays a single fee, full stop: £140 (plus venue hire) buys an hour, £165 (plus venue) buys ninety minutes, and the number is identical for seven hens or twenty-seven. There is no per-head arithmetic and no nasty recalculation when the guest list shifts in the final week.

What do the weekly dance classes cost in Bristol?

Every session is £8, drop-in and four-week block alike — that rate applies right across the twenty styles. Nothing is signed and no membership is taken, so nobody minds if you switch from street one week to salsa or ballet the next.

Do we need any dancing experience to join in?

None whatsoever. Every style runs a genuine beginners' level, and the hen routines assume the last time most of the group danced was at a wedding or on a night out. Getting nervous, never-danced adults moving inside the first ten minutes is exactly what these teachers do all week.

Who will be teaching us in Bristol?

The teachers are professional dancers who live and work in Bristol — performers who spend their weeks on tour, on shoots and on stage, and teach in between. Anything involving under-18s is handled only by staff with an enhanced DBS check on file.

How early do we need to get a booking in?

Weekly classes can usually be joined within a few days. Hen bookings are the ones to sort early: Bristol ranks near the top of the UK's hen-weekend league, so summer Saturdays get snapped up and three to five months' lead time is wise. For a first dance, couples generally start roughly ten to twelve weeks before the wedding.

What Our Dancers Say

Hen weekends, wedding first dances and weekly classes, all over Bristol.

Sixteen of us booked the Spice Girls routine at a Stokes Croft studio, then spilled straight onto the Harbourside for the night. Our choreographer had the whole room in stitches, and the finale clip has been replayed more times than any of us will admit.

Megan T. Maid of honour, Bristol

I gave the Wednesday after-work salsa a go near the Old City, and now those weekly Latin socials are the highlight of my week. Everyone swaps partners as you go, so within a month you have danced with half of Bristol.

Callum P. Weekly student, Bristol

Five first-dance lessons over in Clifton turned our nervous shuffle into a proper routine, dip included. Rehearsing on our actual venue floor the week before was easily the smartest money of the whole day.

Find Us in Bristol

Partner studios around Stokes Croft, the Old City and the Harbourside, kids' classes across the wider city, and choreographers glad to travel anywhere in the West of England — we confirm the precise address the moment you book.

On Foot or Bus

Every partner studio sits a short walk from a bus stop or the harbour ferry, and evening classes are timed so you can roll in straight from work.

Coming Into Town

Direct trains run into Bristol Temple Meads from Bristol Paddington, Cardiff, Birmingham and the wider South West, while Bristol Parkway catches anyone off the M4 — choose a studio in the middle of town and the day arranges itself.

Honestly, Don't Drive

Bristol's Clean Air Zone covers the centre and Temple Meads, so a non-compliant car pays roughly £9 a day just to enter — and parking is scarce and pricey once you arrive. The train skips both headaches; drivers should check the CAZ map, use a Park & Ride such as Portway, and give us a shout for the nearest option.

We Travel Too

Hotel, Airbnb or a hired hall — the choreographer brings the speaker and the playlist to you, right across greater Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-Mare and South Gloucestershire.
