Dance Jobs in Bristol
Teaching and choreography work across Bristol and the West of England — freelance hours starting at £22, arranged to sit alongside the performing career you are already building.
Join Our Bristol Team
Bristol is a heavyweight on the UK hen-weekend circuit and our West of England workload only grows — regular weekly classes, Saturday hen sessions, wedding first dances and school workshops each need a trained dancer who can hold a room.
Paid Properly
Regular classes pay from £22 an hour and hen or wedding choreography from £25. Every rate is agreed in advance, put in writing, and lands in your account on time — no invoices left hanging.
Around Your Career
You name the hours, we shape the diary to fit. Most of our Bristol teachers run somewhere between a single weekly class and a near-full timetable, slotting it around auditions and contracts — and pressing pause the moment a tour comes in.
Room to Build
Launch your own weekly class and grow it, with our marketing handling the job of filling seats. Casting calls land through our events roster too, and switching or stacking roles as you develop is actively encouraged.

Dance Jobs Bristol FAQ
What dancers tend to want cleared up before they join the Bristol team.
Is a teaching qualification essential to get a dance job in Bristol?
No — a qualification helps, but it has never been the deciding factor. We take people on for the quality of their training or stage experience and whether a room pays attention when they lead. A good number of ours found teaching only after years on stage, and it has never held them back.
What hourly rate can a dance instructor expect in Bristol?
Regular classes begin at £22 an hour, and hen and wedding choreography at £25. Everything is agreed up front for each booking, paid promptly, and nudged upward as your week fills out.
Which styles are you looking to hire teachers for in Bristol?
The entire timetable is in play — all twenty styles, from ballroom and ballet to tap, street, heels and K-pop — plus hen instructors and wedding choreographers. Cover a handful and your Bristol week fills faster than anyone's.
Is the teaching salaried or done on a freelance basis?
It's freelance, and the shape is yours to set. Plenty of teachers keep it to one class a week; others bolt weekend hen sessions and school workshops onto their regular classes until it's nearly full-time. Nothing commits you beyond the sessions you say yes to.
Can teaching flex around auditions and touring commitments?
That's exactly the kind of dancer we're built for. Almost everyone on the Bristol team performs for a living and teaches around it. Tell us your pattern, we'll fit a schedule inside it, and when a booking or tour pulls you away, we put your classes on hold until you're back.
