Twelve of us booked the Taylor Swift theme at a studio just off the High Street, then took the routine down to the pier for photos before Popworld. Our teacher had us friendship-bracelet-swapping and word-perfect within the hour — it made the whole weekend.

Twenty styles of weekly classes, 38+ themed hen parties and wedding first dances — taught by working dancers and choreographers who teach around Southend between shows, shoots and tours.
Pick a Hen Party Theme. We Build the Routine.
A hen party dance class in Southend-on-Sea starts with a theme — pick Beyoncé, Wicked, ABBA or any of the 38+ — and finishes with the whole group performing a routine you learned together that same afternoon.
A professional choreographer teaches every step in a private town-centre studio, or comes to your seafront hotel or holiday let anywhere across south Essex. One flat rate covers the whole group.
Class in the afternoon, the High Street bars and Popworld by evening, the routine back out at the wedding months later — that is a Southend hen do done properly.
One Flat Price. No Per-Head Maths.
Most hen party firms around Essex still charge by the head, so the total shifts every time a name goes on or drops off the list. We set one price for the entire group — however many of you actually make it down to the seafront.

Wedding Dance Lessons in Southend-on-Sea
The first dance is the single most filmed moment of the whole reception — far more than a nervous shuffle deserves. Our choreographers build a private routine around your song, from quietly elegant to full showstopper, at a town-centre studio or your venue.
Most couples take four to six sessions in the months before the day; the two-hour Last Minute intensive has saved more than one fortnight-to-go panic. Packages from £75, with song editing and filmed rehearsals added as you move up.

Questions, Answered
What Southend dancers ask before booking — studios, pricing, getting there and lead times. Anything else, the enquiry forms reach us within one working day.
Where in Southend-on-Sea do the classes and hen parties run?
Partner studios in and around the town centre near the High Street, with more out in Westcliff and Leigh-on-Sea, plus children's classes across the borough. For hen parties and private sessions the choreographer also comes to your hotel, holiday let or hall anywhere across Southend and south Essex.
How does the one-price hen party rate actually work?
A single figure covers everyone — £140 for the hour or £165 for ninety minutes, each plus the venue — whether ten of you turn up or twenty-six. No per-head sums to do, and it holds firm when the guest list changes.
What does a weekly dance class cost?
Every class is £8, booked as a one-off drop-in or a four-week block, right across all twenty styles. There are no joining fees and no contract, so you can try heels this week and ballroom the next.
Do we need any dance experience?
None at all — every style runs a genuine beginners' level, and hen routines are built for groups where half the room swears they cannot dance. The teachers are working professionals who get first-timers moving inside the first ten minutes.
Can we get to you by train?
Easily. Southend Central sits on the c2c line and lands you a two-minute walk from the High Street; Southend Victoria brings Greater Anglia trains into the north of the town centre. Tell us which station suits and we will point you at the nearest studio.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekly classes you can usually join the same week. Summer Saturday hen dates on the seafront go months ahead, so three to five months' notice is wise, and wedding couples do best starting two to three months before the day.
What Our Dancers Say
Hen parties, first dances and weekly classes across Southend and the estuary.
Wandered into the Thursday beginners' street class in Westcliff with a mate after work, sure I would last one week. Three months on it is the thing I actually plan my week around, and I can string grooves together I never thought I would.
Marco B. Weekly student, WestcliffI booked a surprise father-daughter dance for my girl and kept it simple on purpose — four gentle sessions near Thorpe Bay and we had something that felt like us, not a performance. Watching her face when the music changed was worth every minute.
